    Ryker smiled,
“I’ll have to get back to you on this one, it’s pretty dangerous
situation I just killed an ex-CIA OPS working for the highest
bidder. His mate is still around I am sure and she is dangerous
beyond words. It might be a situation where Melrodger may have to
be removed from the picture all together. I would be more then
happy to take care of that problem myself. I had a run in with him
fifteen years ago when I was a young kid. And let’s say I lost that
one and I don’t intend to lose a second time as far as Melrodger is
concerned. I have learned plenty over the years on how that alpha
operates.”
    “The name on
the couple would not be Cullen would it?” Zand said with a worried
looked.
    “Zand that is
the name of them alright, don’t tell me anything concerning them
unless it is something I would not know of which would be something
recent; such as in the past year or a little more. ”
    “Recent news
is they were behind the killing of the Hart family in Florida, the
killing of Sam Douglas in Detroit and Marshall Wilcox’s son Steven,
they did some mercenary work in Asia for a month or two, nothing
else knew.”
    “Zand do me a
favor and find out who this Seeker is for me and don’t let Thena
know I was asking you to find out about him for me please? Zand I
intend to kill the son of a bitch the reason is my own.”
    Zand thought,
“ok will do see what I can find out tell me where he is
staying?
    “In this area
I believe Zand.” Ryker said with a deep frown on his face. Ok I’ll
keep you informed thanks for a job well done, and I might get back
to you on a safe place to stay. Problem is I don’t want to endanger
others. And you know me I always put others first.”
    Zand figured
that Seeker must have done something awful for a man like Ryker to
want to kill him and he figured it had something to do with Thena.
Now what would make a man like Ryker want to kill another man, he
must have forced himself on Thena that was the only answer. Zand
hit the steering wheel of his truck, he felt like taking pieces out
of Seeker as well. No damn alpha would ever attempt rape no matter
what. They had more control then that.
    Ryker hung up
the phone walked to the refrigerator opened it up; looked in side.
“Damn not much to eat a bag of chips from Thena’s motel room.
Better then nothing.” As he sat there eating the chips at the table
he heard Thena moan and got up quickly and rushed to the
bedroom.
    Thena sat in
the middle of the bed tried to see out her eyes but they were
swollen shut completely. Her head ached beyond belief. Her jaw was
aching like hell. Her lip felt like it was on fire. She wanted to
cry, but was beyond tears. Her nose was tender and felt stuffed up.
Then she heard someone in the room, she froze, “who’s there?” She
reached under the pillow and came up with no gun, where the hell
had she left one of her guns? She knew she left one under her
pillow, who ever was in the room had to have taken it. Turning she
leaned her head back as far as she could trying to see, but saw
nothing, “Please tell me who is here?”
    “Thena it’s me
Ryker,” his deep baritone voice seeped into body, “settle down in
the bed you’re badly hurt and need to recuperate from the hell you
went through last night.” Ryker looked worried. Then he new from
the look on her face what was coming next.
    “What the hell
are you doing here? I never ask you to come! Get the hell out of my
motel room! I can handle the situation just fine without your help!
I don’t want you here! Get out or I’ll call the motel manager!”
Thena tried to reach for the phone by the bed and found no table.
Thena began to scream at Ryker. “Ryker where is the damn table and
the phone, where is my gun from under the pillow? Damn it, Ryker
answer me right now or so help me you will regret it! Answer me
Ryker, where the hell am I?”
    Ryker never
said a word he just let Thena rant and rave on and
