She felt Clay pull her effortlessly into his arms as tears flowed down her face and sobs shook her body.
“Baby, please tell us what’s wrong,” Clay pleaded. He rocked her and she felt
Rio’s hands as he rubbed her back and arms.
“Did I hurt you, darlin’?” She heard the desperation in
Rio’s voice and wanted to reassure him but couldn’t speak through her tears. She reached for him, her face still held against Clay’s chest. She felt her hand being gripped in his and she squeezed.
She felt as though her heart would burst from her chest. She gasped for air as her sobs wracked her body uncontrollably. Being cold and numb for so long, the warm rush of feelings for these men hurt.
Desperate to get away, Jesse pulled her hand from
Rio’s and pushed at Clay’s chest. He merely tightened his hold to keep her in place. Panicked, she started to fight him, nearly hysterical now as she fought to get free. She wanted to bolt, to lock herself in the bathroom until she could get herself back under control.
As Clay tightened his hold, he continued to rock her.
    “Please, baby,” he murmured, “tell
Rio and me what’s wrong. We’ll fix it, I promise.”
    “Come on, baby,”
Rio added. “Please stop. I can’t take it when you cry.”
“Please, let, let me go,” Jesse hiccupped.
“Never!” Both men protested in unison.
    “
Rio, go draw a bath for her.” Jesse felt Clay’s lips on her hair as he continued to rock her. “She’s going to make herself sick, crying like this. We’ve got to get her calmed down.”
Jesse finally managed to stop sobbing and felt Clay lift her in his arms. She fought to control the tears still running down her face. Embarrassed, she hiccupped against his chest as he carried her into the bathroom.
Rio stood waiting for them, filling the huge tub, the peach scent she used filling the air. He’d obviously gotten the things from her bag and it touched her that he’d thought of it.
When Clay carried her into the bathroom,
Rio held out his arms for her, smiling at her tenderly.
    “Let me hold her.”
Jesse found herself being transferred to
Rio’s arms. He held her tightly to his chest as he lowered them both into the warm water. Clay sat across from her, rubbing her feet as he watched her.
The warm water felt wonderful. So did the arms holding her so securely.
Jesse let her head fall back on
Rio’s chest. The sex and the crying had worn her out.
She knew her face was red with embarrassment. Clay and
Rio must think she’s crazy.
She had to get away, go back to Nat’s then fly home. The men once so anxious to take her to bed had to be just as anxious to get rid of her.
She tried to keep her head lowered, too embarrassed to look at their faces, but
Rio wouldn’t let her. Pulling her face from his chest, he began wiping it with the warm washcloth.
“I’m sorry,” she hiccupped. “Please take me back to Nat’s.”
    “Why, Jesse?”
Rio brushed the hair back from her face. “Tell us what happened. Please tell us what we did wrong.”
His eyes shone with tenderness and concern, which caused tears to well up again.
“Darlin’, were we too rough? Did we hurt you? Scare you?”
Jesse shook her head, surprised that they thought they could have been anything but wonderful with her. “No, you didn’t do anything wrong. It’s me.” Reaching up, she held his face in her hands and touched her lips to his.
“I’m sorry I cried like that.” She glanced at Clay to see that he watched her hungrily. “I never cry. It must have been uncomfortable for you. I’m really sorry. Please just take me back to Nat’s. We can forget this ever happened.”
Jesse winced, taken aback by the anger that jumped into
Rio’s eyes.
“Clay already owes you a spanking for what you did to him in the bedroom.”
Rio held her chin forcing her to look at him. “You didn’t make us uncomfortable. You scared the shit out of us. We want to know what happened to make you cry like that. If
