again and slipped out of bed to pour herself a cup of coffee.
The papers sheâd ordered were waiting in a stack next to the pot. Scooping them up, she grabbed her coffee and climbed back into bed. They had a little over an hour until they had to be on set. Which gave her time to get some rest and get caught up.
âInteresting reading material,â Isaac said, eying the stack of tabloids and magazines Sofia had asked the concierge to send up this morning. âI pegged you as a
Wall Street Journal
type.â
âNot enough celebrity fodder,â she said with a mischievous grin. She held up a tabloid. âThis is like my own personal help-wanted ad.â
âBut you already have a gig, and...â Isaac trailed off. He stared for a moment before snatching the paper from her hands.
âHey!â She grabbed for it, but he held it away from her as he examined its headlines.
âFuck,â he said so slowly that the word grew additional syllables.
âYour Southern is coming out,â she warned him.
âIt always does when my chivalry is insulted.â He frowned and turned the tabloid around so that she could look at it closer.
Fuck
didnât come close to covering it. Sofia couldnât think of a damn thing that
did
cover it, so she fell back on snark. âShould I be flattered that they call me âa sultry sirenâ or insulted by what theyâre insinuating with âlured him into her depthsâ?â
It didnât really matter how she felt. On one hand, there was no way to tell who she was from the picture that accompanied the headline. Theyâd even been so kind as to blur the photo to hide her ass. This was why she was always advising her clients to invest in curtains.
âChrist, Fia. Iâm sorry.â Isaac ran his fingers over his short hair. It wasnât easy to miss the obvious fury rising in his voice.
âWell, I know better than to fuck against the window,â she said with a shrug. It was imperative that she defuse this situation now. The last thing she needed was Isaac losing his shit with the paparazzi.
âWe were in private!â he exploded.
Too late. He knew better than to believe that. Most celebrities did. The trouble was that no matter how much the media tried to desensitize them, most celebs insisted on having feelings. It was a good sign that Isaac still had a human response to a publicity scandal, but that certainly didnât outweigh the possible consequences. Not only was he pissed, but it wouldnât take long before someone put two and two together and not just any someone. Sofia knew her father was keeping tabs on Isaac.
That was going to be a fun heart-to-heart.
âIf they can see you, itâs not private,â she reminded him, choosing to ignore the inevitable awkwardness. âHey, itâs not that big of a deal. The story only emphasizes your sex appeal. It doesnât show my face.â
âI donât care what they think about me. I donât particularly like sharing you with them.â
It was a brutally honest confession and it took Sofia longer to recover from it than when she first saw the picture. Things were getting too real. She needed to distract him stat.
âWhatâs the fun of taking me against the window if no one sees?â she purred. She shoved the tray out of the way, making a note to leave a tip for housekeeping as it crashed to the floor. In a flash, she climbed on top of him, pushing him back against the mattress. She rolled her hips, grinding herself against his pelvis. Isaac clutched her ass, urging her forward until she was hovering over his face.
Mission accomplished
, she thought as he guided her pussy to his mouth.
âYesssss,â she hissed, bucking against his tongue as he devoured her. âOh my god. If mainstream movies donât work out, I think youâll still have a future on-screen.â
Isaac chuckled against her sensitive
