any way I needed. Now though I feel like I want other girls there to get ready with and talk to before a party.
They follow me upstairs to my room. They all start putting their stuff in different corners and talking while they get ready. This is a little overwhelming for me but wonderful too. I had a lonely childhood without any brothers or sister and a very cold mother. The noise and laughter touches something deep in me, and I don’t feel so different from them all of the sudden. I am not thinking of where my company’s stock sits or how I’m going to do press for my swimsuit line and win the first volleyball game of the season. These girls are just getting ready for a party and right now that’s all I want to do too.
“So what are you wearing tonight, Carter?” Hampton asks. She has long straight brown hair and big brown eyes. She is very popular with the boys, but I think I heard right now, her and Cole are casually hooking up. “You always look amazing, but I thought you might be dressing sexier tonight since word is out that you and Bray are joined at the hip. You two together are the sexiest couple I have ever fucking seen. Talk about the combination of good genetics, just looking at you both makes my eyes hurt because of all the physical perfection.” Now that made me smile and Hampton can be crude at times, but she can say and do the sweetest things. I replied, “You are so sweet. I always feel like Brayden is in a class of his own and I can never catch up to his sexiness. I’ve gotten used to us being together alone, but now I feel nervous about us being together while we are with other people. He gets unreasonably jealous so easy, and I feel like everyone will see us together and think I come up short when they see me next to him.”
At my statement, all the girls try to talk at once, but of course, Hampton is the loudest. “What the shit are you talking about, Carter? You are the most beautiful girl I’ve ever seen. I think you are so hot and I’m not even attracted to women. You have it all and are amazingly talented in volleyball and dance. You are also ranked second in our class and help run your own company. You are so damn untouchably perfect that all the guys worship you from afar. You are their fantasy, believe me. I have been hooking up with more than one person that has accidentally called me Carter. So, please, don’t doubt yourself with Brayden. Just enjoy the thought of how beautiful you look together.” She then winked at me and added, “I know I will.”
After that little pep talk I pulled out my black halter dress and showed all the girls. They wowed and told me I would look great in it. It put my boobs on display like no dress I had worn before, but I wanted Bray staring at them and not anybody else’s. I made sure all of my hair had curled evenly, and I did my makeup and slid into four inch heels. I was so short that I needed all the help I could get in that direction. Thanks to swimsuit modeling and working as a spokesperson in my dad’s now my company I had a lot of experience walking in heels. I was ready to go. Hampton looked beautiful in a short red dress that she had put her swimsuit under. Leia had her shorter blond hair all done up and she was in purple, and Cara had her brown hair with red tints pulled up and she was wearing a cute jean skirt with a sleeveless shirt. We all looked like we were heading to a party or a club so I opened the door and headed downstairs.

    Chapter 7
    Brayden
The football team and a lot of other sports teams from our school started to arrive with their girlfriends and boyfriends. I started nursing a beer and talking to people coming in that I haven’t seen in a while, and Jace who was manning the alcohol. People kept asking me if Carter and I were really together and
