very DNA was touching.
“Fuck!” Scott gasped, suddenly thrusting further and tensing more.
Paul relaxed his grip on his cock and subtly retracted his finger from Scott’s rim. Then his arms fell around his beautiful husband’s back as Scott’s thrusting slowed, then stopped. Scott kissed him on the side of the face, and Paul’s mind washed with contented love – and a secure respectful feeling for his man and their marriage.
Scott propped himself up on his elbows and gazed into Paul’s eyes. Then he kissed him tenderly. His face was rosy with a blissful glow – reflecting exactly how amazing Paul felt. He grinned, not only from his own pleasure, but also because it was an honour to give Scott such a thrill, too.
“Happy birthday, my wonderful cupcake,” Paul said.
Scott’s lovely face creased into giggles. “Thank you! That was the best birthday ever . Next year, you should just wrap yourself up in a big bow, and I’ll be satisfied.”
“Good,” Paul said. “Your satisfaction is my aim.”
Scott kissed him again and gently withdrew, then he snuggled down into Paul’s arms.
Paul kissed him on the head. “So, how was the young Indian guy? You seemed reluctant to discuss him when I called at lunchtime.”
“Well, he was standing right next to me! But he’s lovely, Paul. Gay and incredibly attractive!”
Envy flashed through Paul’s chest. He tried to take this news on the chin. “Oh really?”
Scott chuckled. “Don’t worry – he’s far too young for me and I only have eyes for you, my love.”
Paul squeezed him in his arms. “I can’t stop you from looking, can I? And I do appreciate how faithful you are to me. Even though I know sometimes you’re tempted.”
“Paul, I love you. You say you want me exclusively and I respect that. I’d never do anything to jeopardize our relationship. I took our wedding vows very seriously.”
    “Me too.”
“But you wait ‘til you see him! He looks like a young Elvis. But with darker skin, obviously.”
“Sounds delightful – I bet you can’t wait to get to work tomorrow!”
“Nah – I’d much rather be here with you.”
Paul squeezed Scott in his arms. He loved this man so much – every day with Scott was as exciting as the first day of a new relationship, with the added bonus of a deep and stable love. He ran his fingers through Scott’s hair, and they stayed like that – in each other’s arms – chatting and hoping that Edward wasn’t currently emptying their home of all their possessions.

Chapter Seven

Scott woke up a few hours later with a full bladder. He pulled on a pair of boxers – remembering that they had a visitor here tonight – then he made his way across the hallway to the bathroom. Edward had left it as neatly as he’d found it. Paul would be impressed.
Without turning on the light, Scott relieved himself and washed his hands, hoping to catch a few more hours sleep before dawn. He had no idea what the time was, but it was still dark, which meant – as it was August – it would be hours before the alarm went off.
He padded back towards the bedroom, but the sound of whimpering caught his ear. He paused and listened. It was coming from the spare bedroom. Scott’s heart squeezed with sadness. Edward…
Scott noticed that there was light spewing out from the crack around the doorframe. He crept along the hallway; the whimpering continued.
He knocked lightly. “Edward? Are you alright?”
The whimpering stopped with a sharp gasp. Edward was probably embarrassed.
“Edward? Is it okay if I come in?”
    A thin voice said, “Yeah.”
Scott pushed the door open and stepped inside. At Paul’s insistence, this room was much more neutral than the rest of the house – just in case either set of parents came to stay and didn’t fancy sleeping in an art installation – Paul’s words. The walls were painted magnolia and the furniture was wooden and sensible. It was like being in someone else’s
