fill. He was now more convinced than ever that she was indeed the one.
“You still haven’t answered my initial question,” he said.
“What question?” Cameryn asked while calling for another beer.
“What are you doing at a bar?”
“I needed an escape from life for just a little bit. Reality sucks ass right now,” she said quietly.
    “This is some escape.”
“It’ll do,” she said looking away.
“Did I say something to upset you? If I did you have my deepest apologies.”
“No. You didn’t do anything. I was just having a moment.”
“Are you okay?” he asked, concern marring his features.
“I’m fine. Really. Now enough about me. Let’s talk about you.”
“What do you want to know?”
“What do you want to tell me?” Cameryn said.
“I’m an open book. Ask me anything.”
    “Okay. Where’s your girlfriend?”
“Don’t have one. You could say I’m very unlucky in love. Women tend to run in the opposite direction.”
“Now that I find very hard to believe,” Cameryn said staring him straight in the eyes.

His midnight black eyes held a glint of sadness. She could recognize it easily. Despite the handsome, charming appearance of the man in front of her, she could tell that he had known pain in his life. She’d bet a million dollars that pain like that had only come from loving someone and having your heart stomped on. Her heart went out to him. How could any woman want to hurt him?
Whoa there , Cameryn, she told herself. She didn’t know a thing about him. She was assuming a lot. But still, for some reason something about him drew her in, like a fish on a hook. There was some kind of connection between them, and she liked it.
Cameryn found herself leaning toward H as she stared into his eyes. He was looking at her like she was the only thing in his world , correction, in any world. No man had ever looked at her like that. As he leaned towards her, she could read the intent in his eyes. He moved ever so slowly giving her a chance to stop him. Lucky for him, she had no intentions of doing so. Tonight she had no cares. She felt a jolt of electricity as his lips touched hers. Her mouth opened into a moan as he deepened the kiss. Her tongue touched his tentatively. He was bolder as his tongue eagerly tangoed with hers. Cameryn didn’t fight as she felt him pull her closer. She couldn’t remember the last time she’d been kissed, but she knew it had never been like this. Fire rolled in her belly, burning hot. She couldn’t hide the disappointment she felt when he stopped kissing her.
“I’m sorry. That was presumptuous of me,” H said with an embarrassed look on his face.
“Don’t apologize. You didn’t do anything wrong.”
“I’m not in the business of forcing myself on women.”
“It wasn’t like that at all. In fact, I thoroughly enjoyed it.”
“Did you?” he asked looking at her with surprise.
“I did, and I’d like it very much if you kissed me again,” Cameryn said staring at him.
For a moment he didn’t move. He just stared at her without blinking. She swallowed a lump in her throat. Had she gone too far? Was there another reason he’d apologized for kissing her? She could feel all her insecurities screaming inside her head. She continued to watch him. Finally she saw a change in his body language. His shoulders relaxed , and a ghost of a smile tugged at his lips. He leaned forward and
grasped her chin in his hand. His lips descended on hers , and this time there was no gentleness. His kiss was fierce, possessive, and passionate. He sucked her tongue into his mouth holding it captive. Cameryn felt completely swept away. She didn’t want it to end, and she knew there was only one way that it wouldn’t.
“Come home with me,” she whispered against his lips.
H stopped kissing her and looked at her intently.
    “Are you sure?”
“Yes,” Cameryn said before she could talk herself out of it.
She caressed his shoulder as he gave her the
