youâd like to share the space with Felicity?â
âThe thought crossed my mind. It crossed hers, too.â
âSomehow I missed that.â
âOf course you did. She made it perfectly clear to me, though.â
âHow, exactly, did she do that?â
âIâm not sure I should tell you. I donât know how you would react.â
âTry me.â
âAll right, she ran a fingernail up the inside of my thigh, under the dinner table.â
âYouâre kidding.â
âNope.â
âAnd how did you respond to that?â
âWith pleasure. I told her Iâd get back to her.â
âI didnât hear that, and I was there all the time.â
âOh, not in so many words. I just gave her to understand that the matter was under consideration.â
âHow, exactly, did you convey that?â
âLetâs just say that I was discreetly receptive.â
âOh.â
âAnd, need I point out that since the subject arose, you have responded in your own particular way?â She held him in her hand and squeezed.
âI think I must be responding to you.â
âWell, I hope so, but the subject under discussion produced a pronounced indication of interest. Have you and Felicity ever entertained another woman in bed?â
âNot that I recall.â
âWell, if that had occurred, Iâm sure you would recall it.â
âI expect so.â
âWhat experience have you had with threesomes?â
âThatâs a very direct question,â he said.
âIâm a very direct woman.â
âIâve noticed that and found it attractive.â
âSo, answer the question.â
âA couple of times.â
âWith what success?â
âWell, it happenedâI guess thatâs success.â
âAnd how did you respond?â
âHow do you think I responded?â
âLet me put it another wayâon each occasion, who seemed to enjoy it most?â
âOn both occasions, the women seemed to enjoy it most.â
âEnjoyed each other, you mean?â
âWell, yes.â
âAt your expense?â
âYou might put it that way.â
âThatâs unfortunate. It shows a lack of courtesy on their part. You were, after all, the host.â
âI suppose so.â
âWell, let me make you a promise. Should we, you and I, decide, both of us together, to invite another woman into our bed, you will not go unattended. By either of us.â
âHow can you speak for the other woman?â
âItâs a matter of judgment. Felicity, for example, is more interested in you than in meâalthough she is certainly interested in me. She demonstrated that to my satisfaction tonight.â
âYou amaze me.â
âI assure you, should we decide to extend the invitation, Felicity and I will both amaze you.â
âHow does one extend such an invitation?â
âYou leave that to me.â
âNow that Iâve answered your questions, how much experience have you had in this area?â
âFive or six times, starting in college.â
âWith what result?â
âAfter some initial fumbling, very satisfactory.â
At that point, the phone rang, and Stone picked it up. âHello?â
âItâs Felicity.â
âHello, there.â He held the phone away from his ear, so that Gala could listen in.
âIâm down at your dock, and my boat wonât start. Neither Geoffrey nor I can make it work.â
Stone looked at Gala, who was smiling and nodding. âIn that case, I think Geoffrey should return you to the house, and Gala and I will make you comfortable here. The boat can wait until tomorrow.â
âWhat a lovely invitation.â
Gala leaned in. âWe will both look forward to receiving you. Just come up to the master suite.â
âHow delightful. See you shortly.â She hung up, and
