situation is too much for you.” He gave her a look and she nodded. “What about your cycle?”
“My period was just over two weeks ago.”
“So, you might be fertile now.” Reid couldn’t completely stifle his disappointment. “That will require some modifications to our game this evening. In future, you will alert me as to the days in question.”
“Of course.” She smiled and wrinkled her nose. Her playfulness was disarming and attractive. “Not your fantasy either?”
    “Not particularly. You?”
“Messy, but it can be fun.”
He arched a brow, surprised and intrigued by her answer. He should compel her to be silent or gag her to silence, but she said such interesting things.
“Erectile tissue is more sensitive then. It can be hot enough to be worth the mess.” She grimaced and nodded. “Shower sex is the way to go.”
Reid filed that away for future reference and gestured to the red rope. “My plan tonight is simple. I intend to discipline you for having these pictures taken and returning here to steal them.” She opened her mouth but he raised a finger. “You are not allowed to question my plans.”
    “It’s in the contract?”
He nodded and she grinned. “Maybe I’ll read it while you’re gone.”
Her ease with the situation was unexpected and thrilling. “Are you being audacious, Miss Jones?”
    “No, sir.”
“Then get the rope and unfurl it. I want you to find the middle.”
“I thought you were going to tie me up.” At his stern look, she straightened. “Sir.”
“You’re going to prove what a good sex toy you are by helping me do that.”
The idea clearly shocked her and her reaction sent desire surging through Reid. He had a feeling he was going to get addicted to the mix of worldliness and innocence in his new toy. She unwound the rope and found the middle, her hands shaking slightly.
She looked up at him. “Mayday.”
“So soon? I’m disappointed, Miss Jones.”
“I just have a question.” At his nod, she continued. “What if I want to say something?”
“You will speak when I allow it.” Reid was well aware that he’d already given her a lot of leeway on that.
    “But. . .”
He stepped toward her, unable to resist her distress. She wasn’t used to being totally powerless and he understood that she needed this concession to continue. He was prepared to make it, because stopping this scene was already out of the question. “Bite your bottom lip on one side.” She did as she was told, her gaze rising to his. “Yes,” he said, tilting his head to admire. “That’s very attractive. Do that when you have a question.”
Her smile was quick and genuine, a surprising reward for such a small change to his plans.
He spoke more sternly then, ensuring that she didn’t think this was a negotiation. “Loop the rope around your neck so it hangs down the front, with the midpoint on your nape.”
She did as she was told.
Reid walked around her, assessing her outfit and knowing what he’d order for her instead. It was going to be a compromise on this night, but probably still a hot encounter. “You complained that the other knots weren’t tight.”
    “They weren’t.”
“Tonight I’m going to show you how easily you can be bound completely helpless.”
She shuddered from head to toe then smiled at him. “Yes, sir. I can hardly wait, sir.”
He caught her chin between his finger and thumb and leaned close to whisper in her ear. “Even though you don’t know what I’m going to do when you’re powerless?”
She caught her breath, and her eyes shone. “That’s part of the adventure, sir. I only feel alive when I’m taking a risk.”
“Ah, so reading the contract would have spoiled the fun.”
    “Exactly, sir.”
Reid smiled despite himself at her candor. He hoped like hell that she liked the reality of being bound helpless as much as the idea or it. He was already uncertain that he’d want to let Miss Jones go anytime soon.
