downtown, right smack on King St. and was finally able to get the city to agree on a liquor license after fighting them publicly in the local newspaper forever, demanding better support for small businesses everywhere in the peninsula.
The invitation stated a grand opening event, asking people to dress up even though it was a brew and beer pub type of venue - 'Come downtown to try out the new modern menu of sausage skews, wings, and fried fish.' Perhaps they could even stay and listen to some local comedians and songwriters who would be on stage later on, and enjoy the local businesses of the town.
It was not a big city by any means, like New York or Los Angeles, but this was the place where Andy and Danielle had settled down after they met and became more than just two people dating. This was the place where his roots were jotted deep. His job was in the area, his family was living close by, and she had just started up her new printing business in their attached garage at home making letter heads, print outs for businesses, and advertisements of clothing for sports clubs or events.
Her business received the honor of making all the invitations for the grand opening event of the restaurant downtown and was invited for that reason, and was also asked to bring her plus one. It was a marvelous first gig for a small, start-up business like hers. Hopefully it would eventually bring in more clients and she might be able to fulfill her dream of running a company on her own terms from home.

Andy was superbly dressed for the big evening in a sharp black suit (Prada or not – he would look fantastic wearing nothing but his tool belt from work and his hardhat), polished dress shoes, and snug over his muscular chest - a crisp white button down shirt. His blonde hair was loosely tied in the back of his neck, and seeing him in the mirror finishing of the last touches tying his thin black tie around his neck, she thought he looked just edible. She ran her fingers over her lips, making sure she wasn't actually drooling down her chin like a hungry wolf on the prowl. She could easily grab him hard by that tie, fasten him securely to the metal curtain rod in the shower, rip that shirt back open, letting the buttons scatter across the bathroom floor, and lick that whole torso from top to bottom with one swipe and still need to go back for more. Much more, and she wouldn't stop until he screamed for mercy.
Meeting her eyes in the mirror, he smiled devilishly, finishing up his shirt and tie. Those hands of his, those nimble fingertips. They were useful for so many things. Just watching those tips work a simple button into its mating hole in the fabric made her knees tremble, moistening her between her legs. Her thighs squeezed together at the thought alone.
“What's on your mind, babe?” He sound of his dark voice echoed smoothly along the walls of the bathroom.
Even after seven years as husband and wife, she couldn't stop the heat creeping up to the surface of her skin, lighting up her face. She didn't look away, but gently smiled.
“Just you babe, and how freaking steamy you look right now buttoning that shirt of yours.”
He slowly turned around, kept that smile on his face, and brushed his hands down the front of his suit jacket making sure he looked proper. With sauntering steps he walked over to where she was standing, leaning against the door post between the kitchen and the living room.
“I figured it was something like that since your eyes look all dangerous and flirty. You look naughty. Love the color on your face as well, matches that nice dress of yours babe. Showing every smooth curve of your body. I could just eat you up. I think I'll start right
