eventually whispered, still trapped in his gaze.
“The kind that says you’re mine forever.”
Lexia gulped. Is he asking me to marry him? “Linc are you asking what I think you’re asking?”
“You’d know when I asked. I’m saying, if I asked would you say yes?”
“Wow, okay...” Lexia suddenly felt a bit dizzy, her heart was beating so fast she was sure Lincoln could hear it. She had no idea how to answer that question; she loved Lincoln but marry him? She’d just turned twenty, had a psychotic, evil mother after her with a soulless army at her command, plus she didn’t think it was the kind of thing you talked about while naked in the shower with a hard penis poking you in the stomach.
“I can see I’ve freaked you out a bit,” Lincoln mumbled.
“Linc, I love you, god I love you so much it hurts but I can’t answer that question right now, not with everything that’s happening... I can’t imagine my life without you in it but marriage is never something I’ve thought about and if I did then it certainly wouldn’t be when my life was so messed up.”
“It’s okay, baby,” he claimed her mouth, “you’re my mate, that’s all that matters to me.”
Lexia kissed him back, glad that was over. When his hard penis started to rub between her legs, she giggled, “Can I at least wash my hair first?”
“Hmm, I’ll think about,” he said, pinching her nipples and moving down towards her neck again.
“Baby,” she moaned, “come on, it’s all gross from me running.”
He chuckled against her neck. She felt sharp teeth break her skin and gasped from the sting and the pleasure that pooled between her legs.
“Linc, that hurt!”
Lincoln kissed gently on the spot he’d just marked. “Sorry, Wildcat, but maybe it might last a bit longer.” He grinned as he left the shower.
“Ass! I might consider a ring if you stop biting,” she laughed.
“Don’t be long, Lex, I’m not feeling very patient today.”
“Pfft since when have you ever been patient?” she called, rubbing shampoo into her hair.
When she walked out the en-suite all dried and hair cleaned, she was pounced on by Lincoln. He had the towel off her and her back pressed against the wall in seconds.
“Easy there, kitty cat, I might break,” she smiled, running her fingers into his still damp hair.
“You need a haircut, baby,” she teased.
“I need you,” he breathed.
“I’m yours always,” she whispered against his mouth as he lifted her up sliding himself inside her.
Wrapping her legs around his waist, Lexia cried out as he thrust deep and hard inside of her. Her nails dug into his skin, drawing blood. A growl rumbled up his chest and his eyes flashed to panther as he drove into her against the wall.
Caden rolled his eyes at the ceiling as the sounds of Lexia and Lincoln drifted downstairs. They could at least try and be quiet, he thought.
“How the fuck do you live with them?” Alice huffed, nursing a cup of coffee.
“I don’t really have much choice,” he laughed. “Plus it’s nice to see Linc happy, he’s spent most of his life struggling...”
Caden stopped talking as his phone rang. “Caden Nickelson.”
When he put the phone down he turned to Alice. “How’d you like California?”
“What do you mean?”
“That was my friend Gabe; he lives in California and has decided to do the job himself so we don’t end up killing more FBI agents.”
“Wow! Really California!” Alice squealed with joy at the same time screams of passion erupted upstairs.
“Really? FUCKING REALLY!” Alice screamed at the ceiling.
Caden smiled, his hands still over his ears and wondered if his life would ever go back to being quiet and, quite frankly, boring again?

The next morning Lexia sat on the bed in the spare room whilst Alice tried to fit all the clothes she bought into her suitcase.
“California, ay? Are you excited?” Lexia asked.
“Yes! I wish you were coming with
