    “Okay.” Carly grinned as she hung up the phone. It was a week after Sarah’s
    sister’s due date and her family was just waiting for her to pop.
    Easing off the bed, she stretched her legs as she stood. Her body was exquisitely
    sore thanks to Nick. He’d woken her twice during the night. Since he didn’t have any
    more condoms, she thought they’d be through for the night, but he’d had no problem

    A healthy dose of anxiety still played in the back of her head that things might get

    She glanced at the clock as she grabbed the silk robe she’d tossed over the chair

    stairs in search of Nick. She didn’t hear anything as she rounded the corner and walked
    toward the living room.
    When she found the kitchen empty, her stomach dropped until she saw the spread
    on the round table. There was a box of fresh bagels and cream cheese from a nearby
    bakery, two bacon and cheese sandwiches, hot coffee—and a new box of condoms—but
    still no Nick. Chuckling to herself, she picked up the box that proudly proclaimed it
    contained forty-eight lubricated, ribbed condoms.
    “He must be feeling pretty sure of himself,” she murmured to the empty room.
    “I am.” The enveloping deep timbre of Nick’s voice caused her to drop the box and
    spin around.
    Her eyes widened when she realized he was completely naked. “Where’d you come
    from?” He’d come from the direction of the back door. Unless he’d been running
    around in her backyard naked, she couldn’t imagine where he’d been.
    As if he read her mind, he answered. “Your trash was full so I took it out.”
    “Naked?”
    He shrugged as he walked toward her and ignored her question. “You hungry?”
    “Wait, you went to the store this morning wearing clothing, right?” She turned to
    follow his long form as he headed for the bagels.
    He stared at her as if she’d grown two heads. “Yeah.”
    “So you took off your clothes once you got back and decided to go out in my
    grandmother’s backyard, naked ?”
    Nick froze with his hand in the bagel box and met her gaze. “Shit. I didn’t think
    about that.”
    Part of her thought it was a little odd that he didn’t mind strolling around in the
    buff, but if she had a body like that, she’d probably flaunt it too. “Thanks for picking up
    breakfast.”

    “I’ve got to keep you fed. Besides, you didn’t have anything in your fridge. Want
    some coffee?”
    When she nodded, he continued. “Take a seat. I’ll fix it for you.”
    Carly did as he said but couldn’t help but frown at his backside. She’d just had the

    “No.” Shaking her head she stood and made sure the tie on her robe was secure
    before heading to the front door. After glancing through the peephole, she immediately
    tensed.
    “Who is it?” Nick’s voice was dangerously close to her ear.
    Her heart jumped as she swiveled to face him. “How do you do that?” she
    whispered.
