how good he looked in jeans. He slapped hands with an older Asian man leaning against the bar. Tina had noticed him earlier, watching them as they danced. He must be the club owner and father of the jailbait waiter. Kevin put his glass on the bar and then left. She found Clarice and Alexis staring at her when he turned around. “What?”
“Girl, Erik is going to have a fit.”
“Why?” Tina asked, lifting her glass and pretending she didn’t know what Clarice was talking about.”
    “Mr. Kung Fu likes you.”
“Nonsense,” Tina said. “Kevin is a dear friend.”
“Sure,” Clarice replied. “Alexis, how many dear friends do you have who give you a tender kiss on the head?”
“None,” Alexis answered, nursing her drink and not making the situation any better. “And did you check out their dancing? They were in sync, like they were doing a mating dance.” She put her drink down. “Did you tell him we were going to be here tonight?”
“No,” Tina answered. “I don’t know anything about this place. I never heard of it until you mentioned it. And besides, I haven’t seen him all evening. It was just a coincidence.”
    “Sure,” Clarice said.
“He’s Asian, and we’re in an Asian bar. There’s nothing sinister about it,” Tina insisted.
“Uh huh,” Clarice said. “Honey, wake up. He is definitely into you.”
Tina finished her drink, ignoring Clarice. Kevin was just a friend. Two hours and two Pina Colada’s later, Tina went home to bed, dreaming about that kiss.

Chapter Three

“Your muscles are pretty tense,” Kevin told Tina after their class ended. “Sit down and let me see if I can work it out.”
She and Kevin had had a very strenuous workout and he didn’t hold back on her like he did for those in the beginner’s class. She was glad for this since she had some issues to work out. Tina sat down lotus style on the floor with her long legs folded beneath her.
“You’re very flexible,” he replied as he got down on his knees and came up behind her.
“I took gymnastics as a child at the local YWCA. I wanted to compete in the Olympics, but then I kept right on growing and my dreams flew right out of the window.”
Kevin chuckled and placed his hands on her shoulders just below her neck and began massaging. “No, there aren’t many tall gymnasts, but you could have been a model.”
“No,” Tina said. “Too much trouble. You have to smile all the time and pretend that you like all those god-awful clothes the designers want you to wear. And then you have to learn to grace the catwalk. No thanks, I think I made the right choice.”
“I think so too,” Kevin replied, pressing his fingers into her neck and working the knots out.”
“You’re very good at this,” Tina said, relaxing and letting his fingers work miracles on her aching shoulders.
“I’m a licensed masseuse,” he told her. “Like you, I went through a lot of career choices. I haven’t always been the suave and debonair Kung Fu master I am now. I got thrown around a lot as a child.”
Tina found that hard to believe since Kevin stood well over six feet tall and had probably been a tall child.
“And how long have you been into martial arts?”
“Since the time I could walk. My father and grandfather were big into it back then. I was the youngest black belt in our area and they had me competing from a very early age.”
“When did you have time for fun?” Tina asked, moving her head in a circle to work out a kink in her neck.
“That was fun,” Kevin said. “And great exercise.” He moved further down on her shoulders.
“That feels so good,” Tina moaned. Her eyes widened, realizing how that might have sounded.
Kevin chuckled. “I’ve never gotten a response like that before from a client, but then most of my clients aren’t tall, beautiful billionairesses either.” He rubbed a little more. “You need to learn to relax and take it easy.”
    “Easier said than done,” Tina
