flesh of his foreskin. 26 Â In the selfsame day was Abraham circumcised, and Ishmael his son. 27 Â And all the men of his house, born in the house, and bought with money of the stranger, were circumcised with him.
18: 1 Â And the L ORD appeared unto him in the plains of Mamre: and he sat in the tent door in the heat of the day; 2 Â and he lift up his eyes and looked, and, lo, three men stood by him: and when he saw them, he ran to meet them from the tent door, and bowed himself toward the ground, 3 Â and said, My Lord, if now I have found favour in thy sight, pass not away, I pray thee, from thy servant: 4 Â let a little water, I pray you, be fetched, and wash your feet, and rest yourselves under the tree: 5 Â and I will fetch a morsel of bread, and comfort ye your hearts; after that ye shall pass on: for therefore are ye come to your servant.
And they said, So do, as thou hast said.
6 Â And Abraham hastened into the tent unto Sarah, and said, Make ready quickly three measures of fine meal, knead it, and make cakes upon the hearth. 7 Â And Abraham ran unto the herd, and fetched a calf tender and good, and gave it unto a young man; and he hasted to dress it. 8 Â And he took butter, and milk, and the calf which he had dressed, and set it before them; and he stood by them under the tree, and they did eat.
9 Â And they said unto him, Where is Sarah thy wife?
And he said, Behold, in the tent.
10 Â And he said, I will certainly return unto thee according to the time of life; and, lo, Sarah thy wife shall have a son. And Sarah heard it in the tent door, which was behind him. 11 Â Now Abraham and Sarah were old and well stricken in age; and it ceased to be with Sarah after the manner of women. 12 Â Therefore Sarah laughed within herself, saying, After I am waxed old shall I have pleasure, my lord being old also?
13 Â And the L ORD said unto Abraham, Wherefore did Sarah laugh, saying, Shall I of a surety bear a child, which am old? 14 Â Is any thing too hard for the L ORD ? At the time appointed I will return unto thee, according to the time of life, and Sarah shall have a son.
15 Â Then Sarah denied, saying, I laughed not; for she was afraid.
And he said, Nay; but thou didst laugh.
Matthew 6:1-24
1 Â Take heed that ye do not your alms before men, to be seen of them: otherwise ye have no reward of your Father which is in heaven.
2 Â Therefore when thou doest thine alms, do not sound a trumpet before thee, as the hypocrites do in the synagogues and in the streets, that they may have glory of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 3 Â But when thou doest alms, let not thy left hand know what thy right hand doeth: 4 Â that thine alms may be in secret: and thy Father which seeth in secret himself shall reward thee openly.
5 Â And when thou prayest, thou shalt not be as the hypocrites are: for they love to pray standing in the synagogues and in the corners of the streets, that they may be seen of men. Verily I say unto you, They have their reward. 6 Â But thou, when thou prayest, enter into thy closet, and when thou hast shut thy door, pray to thy Father which is in secret; and thy Father which seeth in secret shall reward thee openly.
7 Â But when ye pray, use not vain repetitions, as the heathen do: for they think that they shall be heard for their much speaking. 8 Â Be not ye therefore like unto them: for your Father knoweth what things ye have need of, before ye ask him.
9 Â After this manner therefore pray ye: Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. 10 Â Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. 11 Â Give us this day our daily bread. 12 Â And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. 13 Â And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen.
14 Â For if ye forgive men their trespasses, your heavenly Father will
