restroom over there in the corner of the room.” She turned and scanned the room for her mates. “One…two…” “No, Annabelle, you can't start anything here. We're guests.” Sandy stepped in front of her. She gazed at her friend. “I need some air, Sandy. Everything is closing in on me. All I wanted to do was walk, so I could think. Hell, I'm whining and I hate when I do that. Come on. Let's go back to our seats and sit like good little girls.” Annabelle just sat down when Eden came up and frowned at her. “Why aren't you eating? You need to keep up your strength.” She sat down beside her. “Not really that hungry anymore. I guess everything that has happened is finally catching up with me.” She smiled at her. “I'm really sorry about your daughter, Eden. I don't know what I did to set her off.” “I'm afraid it has nothing to do with you. She's been acting out lately and we have no idea what's wrong, so don't worry about it. I wanted to show you something I think will help pass the time here, if you want. It's my little haven away from the alpha males. I want both of you to use it while you're here.” Eden smiled and stood. “I'm afraid we'll have to see it another time. I'm not allowed to leave this room. I've already tried to take a walk earlier, but it seems your sons don't want me leaving, but maybe tomorrow.” She sighed and took a sip of her water. “They what? We have guards all over the place. There's no reason for you to be trapped in here. Come on, we're going for that walk. Let them stop me,” she snapped and pulled her up. “I swear they are just like their father.” “Who's like me?” Nicholas appeared next to her and stared at her. “Your sons. Now, out of my way. I'm taking my daughter for a walk. She needs some fresh air.” Eden tried to move around him, but he grabbed her and stopped her. “We have guards at the door for a reason. She will not be patrolling around the yards at night time unless one of us is with her. You know demons can materialize anywhere,” he snapped. “Damn it, Nicholas. She's not our prisoner, so stop treating her like one. Now move. There are plenty of guards around.” Nicholas glanced behind them as Marcus and Lance walked up to them with plates in their hands. “Marcus, you and Lance take Annabelle for a walk in the gardens. I need a private minute with your mother,” he ordered, and dragged Eden out of the room. Annabelle stared up at Marcus, and he frowned at her. “What the hell was all that about?” “About your stupid guards not letting us take a walk. Your mother found out and, well, she's not too happy about it, as you saw.” “Annabelle, those men are there to protect you and our child.” He sighed and put his plate down. “Come on, I'll take you for your walk.” He reached for her hand, but she backed away. “No, it's okay. Eat your food before it gets cold. We can go later.” She sat down and picked at her food when her cell phone buzzed in her pocket. “Damn it. Why didn't I just leave this thing in the room?” “Hello.” She got up and walked towards the bathroom where it was somewhere quieter, but stopped halfway there. “Dave, just leave it alone!” She shook as she hung up the phone, and ran to the bathroom. She flung open the door and had just made it to the toilet when once again she lost everything she had eaten. The door creaked open and she knew it was one of her men. “I'm fine. Just leave me alone.” She grabbed some toilet paper and wiped her mouth. “I don't know what's going on. Is it normal to be so sick when you're only pregnant a week?”
She glanced behind her and froze. It wasn't Marcus or Lance. “Why, you fucking whore. I'm going to rip that baby right out of your belly.”
Dave snarled and shifted to a terrifying creature. Stub horns protruded from his head, his skin turned a dark greenish red color, and rotten teeth hung practically out of his mouth. His tail swung behind him.
