her as much as she engrossed me.
Then her muscles tightened all around my length, letting me know she was about to come again, and I picked up speed, making sure my pelvic bone tapped against her clit while I let my gaze bore into hers. I wanted to see the look in her eyes when she climaxed. I wanted to see her expression of satisfaction and pleasure before I felt my own.
Her head snapped back, and she screamed in release, but not before I saw the dazed and dreamy look that crossed over her face as she peaked again.
I couldn’t hold back as she tightened around me, so I abandoned myself to the pleasure of my own personal heaven and exploded inside her as I called out her name. My body shook from the release, and when I was done, I let my body go lax yet held myself up enough so I wouldn’t crush her, dropping my forehead back to hers and reveling in the smell of us.
It didn’t take me long to lose what little strength I had left and let myself fall to the side, rolling Ginny’s body until she was cradled in my arms, fast asleep.
It was the best moment of my life.

    Ginny
How long had we been lying in this bed?
I had no clue. My mind was lost in a dreamy haze, and there was the weirdest sensation that we had been here together for minutes when I knew it was more likely hours. What I did know was that I wouldn’t trade a single second I had spent in his arms. It was like being lost in time, this mythical black hole of happiness, and I never wanted to see the light again.
My head was lying on Lucas’s chest, directly over his heart, and the steady thud under my ear was like a lullaby. We were still naked, and for once in my life, I didn’t feel awkward or self-conscious about my body, even with the light sweep of his fingertips running from my shoulder slowly down to my hip and back up again. There was a silent reassurance in that touch. It was as light as butterfly wings, but the sensation felt like a hot brand, marking his territory.
Something inside of me wished he could brand me from head to toe with that possession. Why not? He had already owned my heart for as long as I could remember. And if he gave me a branding like that, I would have a physical reminder of our time together when I stepped out of his embrace and walked out that door.
I wanted the world to see how much this man meant to me, but what I wanted and what I could have were two totally different things.
Lucas was trailing his hand back up my body from my hip again, but this time, he didn’t stop at my shoulder. Instead, he continued up until his fingers tangled in my hair, gripping the strands gently and tipping my head back so that I was looking up at him. He was reclined against the pillows and headboard, giving me a clear view of his face. It looked serious, and I couldn’t help wondering what he was thinking about that gave him that look. It didn’t take long to find out.
“Do you have any idea how much I missed you, angel?” His voice was soft and sincere, sort of like the way a cat purred. Although, I didn’t think there was a person in the world who would mistake Lucas for a cat. He was more like a tiger, stalking me, waiting for the right moment to strike, hooking his claws into me and dragging me into his den.
I couldn’t find the words to answer his question, so I shook my head.
Leaning forward, he kissed my forehead before whispering his lips along my skin. “It felt like my world stopped spinning.”
Confused, I pulled back and looked at him again.
He reached up with both hands and cupped my cheeks. “You disappeared, and I thought I lost everything. I didn’t feel the warmth of the sun on my skin in the desert. I couldn’t see the green of the jungles. No fire would warm me. Food had no taste. Hell, it felt like I couldn’t even pull a full breath into my lungs. You know why?”
Choked with more emotion than I thought was possible, my throat closed up. Therefore, when I tried to say the word no,
