now.”
Lucilla could feel her eyes burning from the tears that were threatening to slide down her cheeks, “I was promised that I would be let go after this! T hat I could go back. My mother… she’s sick…”
At this, Lucilla saw the Captain’s stoic stance shift just a little. His blue eyes that could have been made of stone, flashed a hint of emotion, but then quickly regained its hard composure.
“You were never told that you could go home after meeting with the Emperor. You and I both know that .”
The Captain walked across the room and grabbed her by the arm and rather unceremoniously dragged her into the hallway. Before she even had a chance to respond, he started walking down the hall. The Captain’s grip was firm, but not painful. Lucilla tried to jerk away but soon found that the Captain was quicker as he held on fast to her arm.
“Where are you taking me?” Lucilla demanded, while attempting to cover herself with the sheer robe and failing miserably. The Captain only answered her with silence.
They continued to walk quickly down the hall, which only made it more difficult for Lucilla to successfully shield herself with the robe. In fact, being dragged by the Captain while trying to cover her body only succeeded in causing her to trip every 5 steps.
“What is your problem with walking? I see your walking hasn’t improved since yesterday,” the Captain muttered under his breath.
“Well forgive me for not being in a hur ry to our destination, Captain,” Lucilla spat out sarcastically. The Captain looked down at her with a bit of a smirk and shook his head, “Fair enough, but be warned I will throw you over my back if necessary.”
The idea of being thrown by him was a bit frightening to her, but the prospect of having his hands on her again made images of what he did to her in the room come rushing forward. Things have been moving so fast and she was so angry that she didn’t even have time to absorb what happened between them. Lucilla could feel her cheeks burn as she recalled how his tongue made her feel.
As if he sensing her thoughts, the Captain stole a glance down at her and she could have sworn she saw a knowing smile. This only made her more self-conscious, but apparently improved her ability to walk. They continued to walk quickly in silence until they reached the end of a dark hallway.
“Where are we? You don’t have to do this. Can’t you help me, please?” she asked, hearing her own desperation in her voice. Completely ignoring her pleas, he fumbled with the lock on the door. Once he heard the click on the lock, he opened the door cautiously. The Captain began to walk through, but then stopped short and looked at Lucilla and whispered, “I need you to stay here for a minute. Do not move! I’ll be right back,” and then disappeared behind the door.
Staring blankly at the closed door, Lucilla repeated in disbelief, “’Stay here for a minute’? Yeah, not this time”
Lucilla quietly walked backwards through the dark hallway until she reached one of the many intersections. She quickly broke into a run and ran somewhat blindly through the winding hall. She had no idea where she was going or what her plan was, but all she knew was that she needed to get out of there very fast.
So focused on r unning away and making her escape, Lucilla didn’t even hear or notice the Captain running behind her. Without a sound, the Captain was on Lucilla within a minute of her newfound ‘freedom’. He grabbed for her from behind and put his hand around her mouth before she could let out a scream.
“Quiet! What are you doing? I told you to stay put! Are you trying to get yourself killed?” the Captain asked angrily. As Lucilla continued to struggle, the Captain half carried half dragged Lucilla into the room that he snuck into earlier.
Once inside the dark room, he pushed her against the wall with his body pressed firmly against hers to keep her
