take her as she’d ever been. Need coiled not only in her belly , but in every cell of her, every po re , even her hair seemed to need him But when he took another step back she reached behind her for the door knob and twisted it open. She was out the door and in her car before she could say something incredibly stupid like , “why did you stop ? T ake me , big boy.” Sin was pulling into the restaurant parking lot when she realized she must have looked stupid anyway and laid her head on the steering wheel.
“Could this get any worse? Do you think maybe, I don’t know , you could go one whole day without making an utter fool of yourself?” She got out of the car. “I’m guessing not , ” she said as she noticed the keys still in the ignition and the tab down in the lock ed position on the door.
Dinner was fun. She was extremely glad she’d decided to go. They had just ordered when Dane turned to her with a smile.
“So, how was it? Was it as good as you look like it was?” Sin looked at her , confused. “ The kiss. It was the first time he kissed you, right?”
“Kiss? Who kissed you? Oh my G od, that guy…Coop? He kissed you? Way awesome. Go give it up , girl . W as it good or what? I bet he’s a Dom too. I can tell. Byron said so too.” Taylor crunched a breadstick as she finished. “I’ll make sure you guys have an invite to the club. It’s a lot of fun and you can have all the freebies you want. I’ll tell Byron to set it up for you.”
“W hoa, girl, I’m not sleeping with…Dom? Byron is a…? Then you’re his…? Well , fuck me.” Sin just looked at both women as they burst out laughing.
“No , dear, that’s for Coop to do. And yes, I’m Bryon’s sub to his Dom. We actually met that way. He owns and operates several clubs called Tightly Bound. Have you heard of them?”
Sin picked up her glass of tea and drained it. “No. But I don’t do that. I mean , it’s okay and all , but Coop, Mr. Cooper , and I aren’t lovers. He just kissed me for my birthday.”
“It’s your birthday? Why didn’t you say something? We could have had a big party for you. I love throwing parties. You and Coop will have to come to…what is it , dear? What’s wrong? ” Dane patted her on the arm. “Ah , those. Let me tell you firsthand, men who love you don’t notice the scars. They just love you.”
“You’re scary, you know that ? Besides , I’m a tad too old for parties. I was really surprised when Gracie sent me this dress. She said it’s one of hers. I love it. Of course it would fit because we’re sisters and all , but…now what did I say?”
“You’re related to Grace Anne? Grace Anne the designer? Holy shit. You have to let me meet her. I love her things. I have two of her dresses in my closest at home. ” Taylor blushed. “I know, I’m gushing , but since I’ve married Byron I find I love sexy thing s against my skin. He does too.”
Sin looked at both the women. She simply couldn’t help it, she starting laughing. “When we were kids Gracie would dress up our neighbor’s cat. She told me that she was going to be famous someday and that women all over the world would be talking about her dresses over champagne and carrots. We didn’t have a clue what caviar was so she said carrots. You have to tell her.” Sin dug out her phone and dial ed . “ She’ll love that you love her stuff and all .”
They spent the next twenty minutes with Gracie on speaker phone then finished their dinner . Sin couldn’t remember a more enjoyable night, especially on her birthday. When they departed they had decided to make thi s a weekly thing and to invite Margaret Parker , the older women’s moth er-in-law , and the other girls, Morgan, Ronnie , and Cait — the other Grant women.
She drove home after calling the car service to get her keys unlocked from the car , knowing she had made some good friends, women friends , something she didn’t seem to have any of. Going into the house she
