getting his jeans on without her brother hearing him move around.
“You can come out now.” She stepped back, and he walked into the living room.
“Never again.” He let his pants fall to the floor and reached for the ceiling.
Amy watched him stretch. His shirt hung open, allowing her to see the way his muscles tightened and relaxed. He wasn’t one of those cut muscle guys with a chiseled six-pack, but there was enough definition for her to see where they’d be. Obviously they hadn’t extinguished the flame. Instead, it was making her burn hotter and hotter. She really needed to get him out of her house.

Slade had a feeling his time in the closet had been meant to teach him some kind of lesson. Just what it was, he wasn’t sure. From the way she was eating him up with her eyes, she probably didn’t know, either. He wasn’t going to find out standing there half naked while she was fully dressed. The chances on getting her naked again so soon were damn slim, so he needed to do something else.
He picked up his slacks and put them on. One thing he’d learned, her brothers were a competitive lot, which he figured was a family trait. Now he had something he might be able to use against her. He slowly did up the buttons on his shirt, loving the way her gaze followed his hands inch by inch.
He waited until her gaze met his before he said, “Since I was right about sex not being a cure for our problem, I have a suggestion on how we can find a solution.”
    “I’m listening.”
“Good. Let’s play a little game called Truth or Dare.” He saw a flash of a smile before she schooled her features.
“Excuse me?” She didn’t sound the least bit offended or confused.
“You know, a game of tit for tat?” He purposefully looked at breasts, as he taunted her.
“What are the stakes?” She crossed her arms, which only lifted her boobs higher.
As he’d hoped, she was playing right into his hands. “I had plenty of time to think about that. On the crazy chance that I lose, I will work in your shop every Wednesday night for a month. If I win, you have to agree that I’m your man.”
“For how long?” Her question caught him off guard.
“As long as you want me, but to be completely fair, you have to give me the same reward. Four nights.”
“Clarify this for me. If you win, I have to sleep with you one night a week for a month?”
“We don’t have to have sex unless you want to.” He gave a shrug, trying to look carless. “But we will do something together. We can make it four nights in a row if that’s easier for you.”
“Deal.” She held out her hand.
Instead of shaking it, he brought it to his lips and brushed his lips across her knuckles. She giggled, and he knew he’d already scored a point. Amy wasn’t just the rough, tough girl she showed the world. She had a girly side, and he was going to do his damndest to draw her out.
Starting right now. “So truth or dare?”
“Uh uh, I’m going first.” He nodded and she asked, “Truth or Dare?”
“Truth.” He figured it might be a good idea to save the dares for later.
Her mouth curved into a smile. “How many women are you seeing right now?”
    “One.”
“Does she know about me?” Slade hoped the sharp edge he heard in her tone was jealousy.
“She is you.” He could have laughed at the way she narrowed her eyes and her lips puckered in a kissable pout, but he didn’t want her any madder than she already was. “I haven’t thought about another woman since Jace’s wedding. Hell, even before that there was no one special.”
    “Oh.”
“Now it’s my turn. Truth or Dare?”
    “Truth.”
“Have you ever had sex with anyone else on that couch?”
“No!” He laughed, and she punched him in the shoulder before laughing herself. “Well?”
“I’ll take truth.” He took a seat on the couch and waited for her question.
“You know, I had the impression you’re boldness knew no bounds, but I guess it
