at the long bar, so we grab them and order us a round of drinks. A short blonde keeps flirting with him, but he doesn’t pay her much mind. I decide now is as good a time as any to try to talk some sense into my cousin.
“So what are you going to do man?”
“Do about what?” he returns, throwing back his drink.
“What are you going to do about Kylie? You two can’t seriously keep this up.”
“There isn’t anything to do, Sebastian. It’s over and she hates me. I fucked up, and I can’t fix it.”
“Can’t or won’t? See, I happen to know you can fix this.”
“Oh really? And exactly how is that?”
“Well, for starters, you need to man up and admit you were wrong. I’m telling you, man. You need to make things right. Belize is the perfect place to do it. She’s on an island, for fuck's sake. She doesn’t have very far she can run.”
“I tried to talk to her on the plane, Sebastian. I even had a fucking speech rehearsed, but that damn male flight attendant was all over her. When she flirted back at him, it made me so damn jealous, I couldn’t see straight.”
“So why do you think she did that in the first place, dipshit? The girl is trying to make you jealous. She loves you!”
“No man, she doesn’t. There was a way she looked at me when we were together. She doesn’t look at me that way anymore. Goddamn I miss it!” He slumps over the bar and waves for another round.
The hairs on my arms rise and the air shifts around me. Only one person in this world can do that to me. Turning my head, I almost fall over myself when I see Skylar in a short white sundress. When she looks my way and beams her smile, I swear I feel like the luckiest guy on earth. Quickly, I elbow my dick head cousin to show him, this is his chance to do something about Kylie. But before he has a chance, she pulls the girls towards a table.
“See! She doesn’t even want to acknowledge me.”
Buying him another round, I pretend to listen to him complain, but really, I’m too busy admiring my girl. When she crosses her long legs, I catch a glimpse of her bare thigh, and I know there is no way I can hold off being with her. Leaving Nik to mope, I make my way to the bathroom and check to make sure the coast is clear before I send her a message.

    Skylar
After a long, wonderful day of pampering and lounging in the warm bright sun, Kylie suggests that we grab a bite to eat at the little island bar, just down from where we are staying. With our sandals in hand, we begin the short journey down the beach. The night is beautiful. Every star looks so close and bright that it seems you can just reach out and pluck one down from the sky. Being here makes me forget everything horrible I’ve been through, that we’ve both been through that is. Even when I’m giggling beside my best friend and sister, I can’t help but miss him. He is, after all, the other piece of my soul, and I can’t wait to become his wife tomorrow.
I feel him, the instant I walk inside the bar. Sensing my presence, my sexy fiancée turns from his seat, and then flashes me a heart-melting smile, causing my clit to begin pounding.
Damn it! Does he have a remote to my vagina?
Nik is slumped over the bar with his head on his hand. With his elbow, Sebastian nudges him in the ribs. He seems pissed at first, but then Nik’s eyes seem to light up immediately when he sets eyes on Kylie. For a split second, I think she’s going to give in and walk over to him, but instead she stomps off, dragging Sophie and me with her. Blowing a kiss at Sebastian, I follow behind them.
Kylie quickly claims the round corner booth that just so happens to have the best view of the bar. I laugh because I know my friend’s motive in doing this. She thinks I don’t notice her stealing curious glances his way, nor the longing in her eyes.
“He has some fucking nerve, being here!” Kylie picks up a menu from between the little metal rack.
“Do you want to leave?” I ask
