I had to just
roll over.
    I wanted to make a
point, try to leave and have him stop me, but I wasn’t certain that he would. From
what I knew of Roman Hunter, which wasn’t much, he’d probably just let me walk
away. I was playing with fire, but I was relishing the burn, feeling more alive
than I had in a long time. Roman held my gaze before running his the entire
length of my body, leaving me shivering with need.
    “Frankly, when you
speak to me like that, I want to go,” I said as his smirk broadened, moving off
the bed and walking closer to me. My breathing sped up and I couldn’t drag my
eyes away. He was stalking like a lion about to pounce as my stomach erupted in
a flurry of butterflies, my heart pounding with an intoxicating mix of blissful
anticipation and genuine fear. I bit my lip and waited for what came next.
    “No you don’t, but
I’m not sure you’re ready for this game, gorgeous,” he said seriously as I
swallowed hard at the dark look that washed across his features. I wasn’t sure
myself.
    “You’d be
surprised at just how easy it would be for me to make you stay, Chas,” he said
in a low deep sound that fired up my insides and infuriated my mind.
    “Oh yeah, you
might be surprised.” My voiced was laced with annoyance as he laughed softly.
    He was hovering
over me and I could feel the heat radiating from his body, washing across me as
his intense, burning gaze held mine. I ached for him to move closer, but he
didn’t, teasing me with the intoxicating proximity as I tried to keep my cool.
It was pointless, I couldn’t go, and it was written all over my face.
    He bent, trailing
soft kisses over my neck as I took a sharp intake of breath. “One finger is all
it would take to hold you in place, Chas,” he smirked, trailing his lips over
my neck; towards my eager mouth as I let out a small moan involuntarily moan. Damn
it.
    I closed my eyes
as I felt his rough palm igniting the skin on my throat, the threat of him
choking me unspoken, but undoubtedly there. Roman Hunter could keep me still
with one finger. Hell, he could probably kill me with one finger. He was ex
Special Forces and I’d heard the stories; they were legendary, and right now my
body was letting me know in no uncertain terms that was undoubtedly part of the
attraction.
    “You’d choke me?
I’m outta here,” I gasped as his fingers grazed the skin across my neck and he
chuckled deeply. He was dangerous and he was hard, thrilling me with the
intensity of his touch and troubled blue eyes, teasing me slowly into a state
of near ecstasy as I moved further towards the door. It was a half hearted
effort. My body was enjoying his touch far too much.
    “It wouldn’t be on
your throat, it would be here,” he growled in a voice so deep I melted into it,
gasping as his thumb found my clit with the perfect pressure and I knew this
was game over.
    “You still want to
run?” he asked, tilting his head and if I wasn’t so aroused I’d have knocked
the smugness from those perfect arrogant lips, but I was practically boneless
and altogether speechless.
    “Like I said,
Chas, one finger,” he chuckled as I took a deep breath and gathered every ounce
of strength in my body to push him away.
    “Fucking hell,
Roman, you’re not big on making a woman feel good, are you?” I snapped as he smiled
again.
    “Don’t you feel
good, Chas? You certainly look good, and you feel incredibly good to me,” he
said, searing me with a look that knocked the breath from my lungs as he ran
his finger across my swollen, naked pussy. I was flushed and trembling, as
aroused as hell, and really annoyed about it.
    “Now, now, baby,
don’t get upset. We both know what we want here,” he said, suddenly grabbing my
waist and pulling me hard up against him. I could feel the brush of his throbbing
cock against me, teasing every inflamed cell, bursting with need as his lips
found the sensitive spot at the base of my throat and I was gone, opening
myself up
