As Reed’s feet pounded into the pavement, he let the stresses of the day go away. He liked that steady thump-thump-thump. The night was still, and he could hear the beating of his own heart, the flowing of his blood through his veins, reverberating through his body. He was alive, damn it, and he would solve his sister’s missing person’s case. He rounded a corner and stopped at a water fountain for a sip of cool water. The sounds of crickets soothed his ears. He loved how the animals and insects took back the world at night. Humans may have tread upon everything during the day hours, but everything changed when the sun went down.
He slowed his pace, thinking about heading back to his room and turning in for the evening. Then, ever so subdued, he heard another sound, a cry out in the night, and he quickened his step, unsure of what he’d find. It was well past curfew time and all the students should have been in their dorms, fast asleep.
If anyone was out, they were not supposed to be. As he rounded the corner to one of the retreated alcoves, he saw her first: Amanda. Although her back was to him, he recognized her shapely figure right away. It was as if something in him instantly knew her. He took in the curves of her calves, the calling of her inner thighs, and then he noticed what it was she was watching. Two men were going at it on one of the sofas. Lost in lust, all three of them were oblivious to anything else around them, especially his presence.
With his own cock now crying out for a bit of attention, Reed shifted himself downward and moved forward until he was just within reach of Amanda.
He wound one arm around her waist, holding her against him and his obvious excitement, and pushed aside her dark locks with his other hand, dipping in for a small kiss on the back of her neck.
“Impatient little vixen, aren’t you?” Reed breathed against her bare skin. “Looks like someone is going to need some personal training.”

The sound of Reed’s voice cutting through the quiet night sent Sam and Johnny scrambling, but Reed didn’t seem much interested in their antics. Instead, he remained focused on Amanda. After thinking about him for so very long, his nearness made her tremble. She felt like an over-excited high school student with her crush nearby.
“You two, get dressed and get back to your dorm,” Reed said, addressing the boys. “We’ll deal with your infractions later. And don’t think I’ll forget.”
Amanda straightened her skirt and bent to pick up the manual that lay at her feet.
“Did I dismiss you, Ms. Wilkinson?” Reed said. “For some reason, I thought you may be a problem student and it seems like you’re proving me right.”
Bless their heart, both Sam and Johnny hesitated before heading down the path, waiting to see if there was anything that they could do for her. Their lack of movement didn’t escape Reed, either.
“Did I stutter?” he asked. “Move it, or the consequences will be worse. Don’t worry about Ms. Wilkinson. I’ll make sure that she returns to the dorm safely.”
As Amanda saw the two fade out of her sight, she felt the chance of escape go with them. What was there to really fear about being left alone with Reed, though? It’s not that she hadn’t fantasized about being with him, because in the last week she’d done plenty of that. If anything, she thought about him too much. And that alone frightened her. She could want something. That physical desire was perfectly normal. That physical draw was one of the things that had brought her to the school in the first place.
To need someone though – that scared the hell out of her.
Still with her back to Reed, she felt him place his hands on her hips and turn her around. Gently, more than she would have predicted, he placed a hand on either side of her face and drew her closer.
“What do you think you were doing out here?” he asked, bringing his lips close to hers. “You could have put
