his eyes, that he still couldn’t see me. He said with a loud mean voice, “Bring it on HELL BITCH; AND I WILL SHOW YOU FEAR!”
I giggled, and then said. “I thought we were going to have sex? Take off your clothes, and we’ll make love not war; that’s what my parents always said.”
Jim, still trying to see into the dark, spit out his reply. “You come on out of there. I will send you straight to hell where all those hippies are waiting for you. Come on whore. What are you waiting for?”
He was trying to chide me into coming out to make the first move. I had the advantage in the dark shadows. He could not see and I could. No, I couldn’t go into the field and face him. Now that I knew that I don’t know how to fight, he'll hold nothing back. I have to figure out how to get him to attack me in the dark.
I do have some time to figure this out; it's only about midnight. I shouldn't rush this and get myself killed. My mother used to tell me. “Beth, remember this; never make a decision faster than you have to. Take all the time that's allotted to you.”
Yes, I will take my time; sometimes you make fast decisions because you have to. Sometimes we make fast decisions because we choose to; those are the same decisions that we come to regret. There'll be no regret tonight.
Jim was rattling off a string of insults and curses at me. I could see that he was standing in a clearing with only the light of the stars. All around him were black shadows; some of them were too dark for me to see into. My second sight allowed me to see even clearer, even in the darkest areas of the woods.
I made a simple plan, harass him until he makes a run into the woods. And there I can attack him in the dark where I have all the advantages. I looked at a spot behind him. That’s a good place to start; all I had to do was get over there.
Where am I?
I was now standing in a different location; Jim’s yelling let me know he was behind me. I spun around, and there he was. He was yelling into the forest at where I had been, and now I am behind him. What happened; did I teleport or something?
All I did was concentrate on where I wanted to be and, bam, here I am. That’s cool; Jim was still yelling, but I didn’t even care. I had to try this again. I concentrated on the spot I was at a minute ago; it didn’t look like it was working.
Okay, I will concentrate on that place, and then I will try to move there.
Wait, where am I? Okay that is official; this is a little disorienting. I am now standing where I started from. I was paying more attention this time. So, when it happened, I noticed there was blurring as I traveled, so I don’t think I was teleporting. It was more like moving so fast that my eyes couldn’t catch the image. It reminded me of a card trick. The hand is faster than the eye.
I will have fun playing with this new power of mine; a new plan popped into my head, how to deal with Jim.
I turned to face Jim who was saying. “Bring it on, whore; come on, give me your best shot!”
I let out a giggle and said, “Ready or not here I come”
With that, I moved behind him with what I am now calling my flash power; I let out a giggle, and said. “I am going to get you.”
Jim spun around, and I could see the confusion in his face. With a loss of confidence, he said. “What the hell? YOU ARE THE DEVIL… Dave was right… DEVIL WHORE.”
I flashed to a new location, and said. “We’re both monsters, Jim, and one of us is going to die.”
Jim spun around to my new location, but before he could reply, I had flashed again to a spot behind him, and said. “Guess? Guess who is going to die?”
Jim spun around to face me again, but this time he wasn’t talking to me; instead he was praying. “Dear God; please save me from this… Devil whore… help me. I swear… I will repent for all the evil I have done. Jesus, don’t let this happen.”
I flashed to a new spot, and this time I just laughed as evil as I could;
