inside her coupled with the knowledge that she was helpless to stop him was pushing her closer and closer to the edge. Soon she was going to come—come with her escaped slave’s tongue buried deep in her pussy—and there was nothing she could do about it. Nothing she wanted to do about it but let the pleasure take her.
And then, just as she was almost at the peak, he stopped.
“What…what are you doing?” she gasped, clearly disappointed when Solar pulled away. “Why…why did you stop?”
    * * *
Yes, why did you stop? whispered a little voice in his head.
Deep down, he knew the answer. He hadn’t let her finish because if he didn’t stop now, he wouldn’t be able to stop. If he felt her coming against his tongue, if he tasted her fresh wetness and heard her soft cries as she quivered and trembled against him, he wouldn’t be able to keep himself from fucking her. From taking her. And that was too fucking dangerous.
Though they were against bonding with females, Havoc males did bond on occasion. It most often happened when there was a genuine connection between the Havoc and a willing female. In such a case, if seed was spilled inside the female with no barrier between them, bonding was likely to take place.
Solar told himself he couldn’t risk that. He had none of the clear sheathes he usually took with him when he visited a female to keep his seed from getting in her and he felt too much for his ‘mistress’ already as it was.
Why he should feel for her he didn’t know. By rights he should hate her. She’d bought him and brought him here to be tortured and used. But he had to admit that most of the torture—what came from the pain collar anyway—was Lyra’s doing. Kaylee seemed mostly harmless. Almost innocent, truth be told. She was simply curious about him, curious and uncertain because he was male and she’d never had any contact with the opposite sex before. Her innocence and the soft, gentle way she’d explored his body had somehow captured him—and made him wish to return the favor.
Which you’ve already done, a stern voice in his head whispered. And now it’s time to go. That fucking sadist Lyra could be calling the peace keepers or the escaped slave patrols right now for all you know.
Solar knew it was true but he didn't want to leave. Nevertheless, he couldn’t ignore the voice of logic. Rising, he stepped away from the table where Kaylee was still spread open like a lush feast for all his senses.
“Why?” she whispered again, making him realize he’d never answered her question. "Why did you stop?"
He grinned rakishly, hiding his true self behind a mask.
“You’ll never know, sweetheart. Now it’s time for me to leave.”
He turned to look for the discarded leather trousers—they were much too tight but he would be less conspicuous in them than he would be running around completely nude—when her voice called him back.
“I’ll tell you,” she said, so softly he almost didn’t hear her.
“Tell me what?” He turned back, unable to ignore her even though the voice in his head was shouting it was past time to be gone.
“I’ll tell you why I did what I did. Why I…why I tried to…to put you inside me.” She was sitting up, her knees pulled together though her feet were still propped in the black leather stirrups. Though he didn’t want to be, Solar found himself drawn to her.
“Why then?” he asked, coming to stand before her again.
“I…I found some vids…in my aunt’s things.” She took a deep breath. “I didn’t grow up like this, you know. This whole lifestyle…” she waved her hand, indicating the decadent torture dungeon and the immense wealth that went with it. “This wasn’t how I was raised. I was a shop girl in a little town on the other side of the planet.”
“So you weren’t born in Opulex?”
“Far from it. My home town of Tulga is about as different from the capital city as it’s possible to get.” She sighed. “I worked
