saving me from it…
I pull away thinking back to his words about The Society, “I guess that only works for the male members?”
Damon looks a little annoyed that I’ve pulled away.
His eyes stay fixed on my mouth.
“How would the women be able to confirm if the guy is a virgin?” I reason.
    He snaps out of it.
“Huh.” He looks straight in front of him.
“I never thought of that. Yes, I guess that’s true. It really isn’t a tested rule since most people who are sexually adventurous enough to be asked to join move in more…experienced circles.”
He shoots me a coy smile. “And don’t really even know any virgins,” he laughs.
    It’s endearing.
    My brain is still racing.
I should be clear about boundaries. Protect myself.
Feeling awkward, my gaze falls to the fingers of my left hand.
I should just rip off the band aid.
“So I know we aren’t exclusive or anything, but…” I begin.
“Oh, here we go,” he cuts me off and shifts away uncomfortably.
The hand that had been lazily caressing my arm is now squarely in his lap.
“What?” I ask. Really unsure of what I had done since I technically hadn’t said anything yet.
He’s impatient, “You want to know if we can be exclusive. But this is college, we shouldn’t limit ourselves—and technically we just met.” The words come out in a rush, like it was a rehearsed speech.
“Oh.” That’s what he thought I was going to say? I pull my eyebrows together and look at him like he’s mentally challenged.
“Noo,” I say slowly, “I was going to ask that you tell me if and when you have sex with someone else so that I can make sure you use protection—if there is a next time.”
I pause, letting the words sink in. His face is a mask, “I’m not an idiot, you obviously like pleasure and so do I.” My back straightens a degree.
My lips twitch up, I let sincerity color my features. He had to understand this part. I hold his gaze. “I promise I won’t fall in love with you.”
    It sounds like a vow.
    To him.
    To me.
As much as I enjoy his body and even his company, I know that statement is true.
Damon’s face is an apple kind of red.
    It is very satisfying.
He smiles bashfully. Huh. That was a new look for him.
Even beat red and embarrassed he looks crazy hot.
“You are a strange one.” He shakes his head.
    He’s astounded.
    Had I shocked him?
His expression changes. His eyes find my lips.
Before I know what’s happening, he grabs my face and kisses me playfully.
After a few seconds he pulls away, “I have just one question.” He touches a finger to my nose.
There’s humor in his voice, “What are you going to say to Professor West on Monday?”
    Oh geez .
It’s my turn to flush crimson.
“Shut up!” I pull at his tuxedo jacket until our lips meet.
He scoops me up and carries me to the bed.

CHAPTER 10 Billionaire Secret: The Sextet

It had been nearly a month since my adventurous foray into secret sex societies.
I’d managed to sit in the back corner of every art history class since then.
And with some creative timing that involved always descending the aisles en masse , always keeping my eyes fixed on the art slides, and never looking directly at Professor West, I had survived each class without dying of embarrassment.
My days were filled with classes, sections, clubs, mixers, and low-key parties thrown by different sets of friends.
Sundays I took a ballroom dance class at the gym. It was a big class taught by the ballroom team.
They’d teach us a step and then we’d rotate down a line of dance partners.
Some guys were better than others, but the best partners came from the team.
Advanced members mixed in with the new students and when it was your turn to dance with one of them, it was easily the most fun I’d had in college so far—sexy adventures excepted.
I hadn’t heard from Damon except for a few flirtatious texts.
    We were both busy.
My world was very full with all the new
