was something she’d voiced her interest in more than once. Her past lover hadn’t been interested, not even enough to try. After she had shown a keen interest in bondage along with her curiosity of how it might feel to be a sub, her ex had left her in the middle of the street with nowhere to go.
Intimidated by the regulars within the club, and having long since been abandoned by her friends for their own pleasures, Alison shivered in the doorway. The club stank of alcohol and so much smoke she was sure she would get cancer just from the short amount of time she was there.
With so many bodies brushing against one another, it was a wonder the entire place didn’t fall down on itself in an orgy of sex and lustful panting. Alison’s gaze skimmed the room, but it continuously returned to Aaron, whose devilish grin widened whenever he caught her looking at him.
He was older than most of the other men nearby, his short white hair complimenting his darker skin and light eyes perfectly. Alison drew in a deep breath, and he closed the space between them. As soon as he was within hearing distance, Alison clasped her hands and bowed her head.
Her cheeks coloured when he made a sound of approval, and her heart jumped when he lifted her chin so that he could give her a proper look.
“First time I’ve seen you in here,” Aaron said, casually stroking his stubbled chin. He craned his neck, as if to search for her master. “Are you not here with anyone?”
Alison averted her blue eyes and stared down at the space between her feet. “No, Sir.” She swallowed around the words as her pulse increased. “Well, not like that.”
“Mmm.” Aaron paused, taking her hands in his to pull her farther into the main room of the club before circling around her. He gave her an approving glance. “You’ll do.”
Alison’s jaw tightened, and at first she wondered if she’d heard him correctly when he left her side. He returned moments later with a jacket, wrapping it around her shoulders before leading her into the cold air outside.
Alison glanced back over her shoulder. “I should really tell my friends—”
“Shhh,” Aaron said, placing a calloused hand to her lips. “I’ve already alerted your friends that you’ll be going home with me. I saw them come in with you, so I figured I’d save us the uncomfortable formalities later on.”
Weaving his arm around hers, Aaron led Alison to a cab that had appeared from the low-hanging fog. From there, his home was a short whisk away, not nearly far enough for her to catch her breath.
She got the vague impression that his home, a cabin in the woods, was smaller than average, but she was too nervous to take in more than that.
Keeping a few steps behind him as he led her to the bedroom, Alison called on everything she’d learnt from her books to prepare for her first night as a proper sub. Her clit throbbed, and her stomach clenched with anxiety.
Aaron paused just outside his bedroom. “You’re new at this, right?”
Alison’s cheeks grew warm, and she looked away. “That obvious, huh?”
Aaron laughed. “Most…experienced subs don’t come into the club with their friends unless they have something else planned.”
    “Oh, I see.”
Once again, Aaron lifted her chin. “Aaron, but you may call me ‘Sir’ when we’re in the bedroom. Understood?”
    Alison bobbed her head. “Alison.”
Aaron turned on his heel and she followed close behind him. “We will start slow, and if you are to my liking, I will teach you more than you could possibly learn from books, television or however else you may have learnt about being a good sub.”
Alison felt her cheeks heat again. “Books. I can’t help it—I have a love for them.”
“Then we can make that your reward. Be a good pet, and I’ll buy you so many books you’ll beg for me to stop.”
“I’d like that very much, Sir.”
Alison dipped her head as they entered his room, her gaze immediately falling on the
