his face losing color.

Chapter 14
Tasha was horrified. He just stared at her like she had just told him she was a man or something. His hand did not move, nor did the man in front of her. “Are you serious?” She nodded her head, waiting for what she dreaded to come. “And it is mine?”

She nodded again, though there was a sharp edge to her eyes. Instead of acting one way, getting mad as she feared, Demitri grinned and got up. He came around the bar and walked towards her, his eyes now on her middle. It made sense as to why she was so damn delicious to him. His hand went to her belly and he kissed her again. He couldn’t have been happier and the congratulatory kiss was soon turning heated.

His large body pressed against hers, her back to the low counter. Her body was ready in seconds, but Demitri was not in his usual rush. His mouth was feverish, but his body was gentle on her. His hands touched her face and then her shoulders, rubbing down her arms. His fingers touched the soft side of her breasts, but he did not do more than touch her in passing. Tasha whimpered, her own need rising in her as her body prepared for his inevitable penetration.

Pulling away from her, he kissed her cheeks, her eyes and then her nose. “You have made me the happiest man in the world. You know that right?”

Tasha smiled and went to him for another kiss. He was intoxicating and the longer they were together, the fuzzier her brain became. All she could think about was him inside of her once more. It had been far too long. She tried to move away, but he held her still. Then suddenly his hands were on her waist, lifting her up onto the edge of the counter.

Her legs wrapped around him as he nuzzled her chest with his face. They were quite a bit bigger than before and they strained to come out of their bindings. When he cupped them under her dress, she thought she was going to die right then and there. Her hands went to pull it down but he stopped her. “Let me. I have dreamed of this for months now, Tasha. I mean, every single night that I couldn’t sleep, I thought of you.”

The feeling of absolute desire was what had been missing from everyone else. He made her feel like she was the only woman in the world. How could he want her so? She would have truly questioned it, if it wasn’t for the unadulterated look of love in his eyes. Her worries of her changing body were laid to rest as her dress came off and over her head. She heard him growl and it made her even wetter.

“Perfect, Tasha.” Demitri had to see it for himself and when he kissed her enlarging stomach, a feeling of possessiveness ran through him. It was not enough that she was in his arms then, he had to make sure that he had her for the rest of his life. Something that he had never considered before was something that he couldn’t stop thinking about when she was away. He too, had a secret for Tasha.

He moved away and stared up at her completely naked body. He looked down at the contrast of his hand against her dark thigh and he imagined what their children would look like. “I think it is time I meet your boy.”

His words didn’t quite register in her mind. Her eyes were closed and she was still waiting for another touch. “That's a big step, Demitri.” She couldn’t think enough to have that conversation then. Her body was bare and opened to him, his eyes burning her with his gaze.

“He ought to know who his stepfather is going to be. I want to do it soon, before the wedding.”

Demitri just blurted it out. He had it all planned in his head, to get on one knee, in a romantic setting, but it seemed as though her kitchen counter was where it was going to happen. He pushed back from her and got his jacket from the back of the chair where he had thrown it in his haste. Going back to her, he had a small box in his hand. Holding it out to her, he opened it. “Will you make me the happiest man on this planet and
