Seth’s hair bristle.
“Your father is visiting his mother.”
    “ His mother?”
Seth’s heart started a ferocious rhythm.
The consigliere’s nose flared, and he gave a curt nod. “You can’t let him
know you’re aware of this. But you need to know what’s going on around you.”
    Seth’s body went rigid,
and his voice turned into a whisper. “And it’s been going on for years?” The
answer was obvious, taking into account Domenico’s existence, yet he needed to
hear it.
    The consigliere nodded.
“Villani blood. You can practically smell it on him.”
    Seth looked into his
whiskey glass, suddenly wanting to puke and then bleach his mind through the
eyeballs. He wanted to fuck his own half brother. “G-good to know,” he choked
out, still in shock that his father could have cheated on his mother. And as to
smell, he wasn’t sure if Dom smelled of Villani blood, but he surely smelled
fucking good. Especially after he fucked that guy in the church. It was the
smell of come, testosterone, and good cologne all rolled into one sexy scent.
    Frederico sighed and put
his hand on Seth’s shoulder, squeezing it reassuringly. “I know this comes as a
shock, but I hope it will make you feel better in the long run.”
    “Let’s say so…” Seth
nodded and downed his drink. “Thank you for your honesty, Uncle.”
    “I honestly advise you
to rely on him.”
There was a knock on the
door, and without waiting for an invitation, the door opened and Domenico burst
in, freezing in place when he saw the consigliere .
“I think I have to go,”
Seth grabbed his bag before gazing at his… half brother, who didn’t stop
looking insanely hot just because of the new knowledge.
    “Yes, we need to go,”
muttered Domenico, stepping outside. He reached out toward the staircase in a
surprisingly polite gesture.
    Seth said his good-byes
with his uncle once more before rushing out, straight into Dom’s clutches. He
still didn’t trust the guy one bit, but right now, his mere presence made
Seth’s skin crawl under the black mourning suit. None of them said a thing all
the way to the car, where the same driver was waiting for them with his eyes
fixed on the road.
    Domenico outran Seth and
opened the door for him in a mockery of being courteous.
    Seth gave him the glare
of death, but sat inside. “Cunt,” he muttered.
    “Fag,” answered
Domenico, before slamming the door shut.
    Seth’s mouth fell open,
blood rushing up to his face. He didn’t even know how to respond to that. He
pushed the travel bag down between his legs. Fuck. This would not end
well. He could hardly believe the irony of it. They were both from the same
father and both gay.

Chapter 4

    Domenico was the only
good-looking object in the attic of a tiny studio in central Berlin. Each
ceiling was a slope, so it was almost impossible to walk without slouching, or
even bending, except in the middle. The main room was smaller than Seth and
Peter’s living room, with only one bed that wasn’t even meant for two people, a
clearly secondhand wardrobe, and a table with two chairs by the small window.
In the corner stood a portable gas stove and a cupboard with kitchen
necessities. Other than that, they had a restroom so tiny it didn’t have a
door, with a sink the size of a soup bowl and a dirty looking toilet.
    Seth was sitting on the
bed and kept curling the fingers of his injured hand into a fist and then
stretching them again. “Classy place. Looks historical. I bet the mold has been
here since World War Two.” Seth watched Dom hang his suit in the closet.
“I can give you a tour.
The mold in the bathroom is even more epic,” answered Dom. He pulled out a
pre-packaged sandwich he got at the airport and threw it on the bed. “If you’re
hungry.”
    “I’m not a dog.” Seth
rolled his eyes but never took his gaze off Dom. Just window-shopping. His
blood ran faster when Domenico pulled on the band in his hair, releasing the
ponytail. His
