Ariella, you are forbidden to leave this house,”
    Jacob ordered.
Ariella gasped. She was outraged, but they all discussed plans to secure her and the other women and children in the area.

Ariella looked at Orion and Palidor who were adding their comments and concern over what happened at the club and in the woods.
“It’s obvious that whomever the leader is, he or she is interested in Ariella,” Orion said.
“But why? What could they possibly want? I’m not getting any information from the Goddesses?” Charity said.
Antoinette looked at Ariella. “I’m not getting anything either.”
In that moment Ariella felt the sensation. She heard the voice, remembered the voice that guided her earlier at the club. What she had seen through the eyes of the wolf had been clear. But considering the way her family was reacting to the recent incident, it didn’t seem like the right time or the place to tell them that more danger was coming and that her help was needed.
But then it seemed as though they were all treating her like some child, a person incapable of handling what the Goddesses set out for her to overcome. With attitude, she stood up.
    “Enough,” Ariella stated firmly.
The room fell silent. Her fathers stared at her with angry expressions, and she momentarily freaked, but then swallowed hard.
The power and certainty of the fact that she was right in this gave her courage to continue.
“I will not be treated as a child. I am a grown woman, of Fae and wolf. These rogue wolves need me.”
“They want to kill you or possess your powers,” Luke said.
She shook her head. “The rogues themselves do not want to be rogues. Something, someone is controlling them. If they deny the orders or fail in their mission, then they die.”
“How do you know this?” Jacob asked her.
“The Goddesses may not have spoken to you, Mother, or to Charity, but they have spoken to me. Someone helped me in the woods and at the club. There is more going on here, and it is my 58

destiny to handle this head-on. Not behind closed doors and locks,”
she added, giving her fathers a firm, annoyed expression.
“You will not risk your life for something so unclear. This could be a trap. If things are really getting bad out there and someone is using packs of rogue wolves, then your safety is priority,” Brad said.
“I will not be locked behind doors. I will come and go as I please and no one can stop me.” She started to walk from the room until she heard Palidor’s voice.
“Not so fast, mate. Things have officially changed.”
“Mate?” Jacob raised his voice in surprise. Antoinette and Charity smiled.
“You knew about this?” Troy asked Antoinette.
“I had my suspicions,” Antoinette replied and Charity smiled.
“This is wonderful news. Both of you are Ariella’s mates?”
    Maximus asked.
“Yes,” Orion and Palidor stated together.
Everyone was excited and began to congratulate them, but Ariella stood her ground.
“Don’t go celebrating yet. I haven’t accepted them as my mates, and this doesn’t change a thing.”
They all stopped to look at her.
“There is no way of fighting it, Ariella. The Goddesses have spoken and this is wonderful news,” Brad told her.
“When I’m ready to accept them as my mates, I’ll let them know.”
She eyed them over. And what a stupid thing to do when she was trying to act so unaffected. She was already wondering how she was going to go to sleep tonight without them being near . How freaking crazy?
“You seemed accepting on the way over here,” Palidor, that pompous sexy wolf, had the nerve to say as he patted his pocket. Her cheeks warmed. She knew her wet, ripped panties were in there. Well, she was certain as all the wolves sniffed the air that they knew she had fooled around with the wolves.
