to his mother. "He was…" Heading to the night table, he picked up the phone. "I’m calling the police."
Jillian lifted her hands to him. "Wait."
"Mom, he was looking for you. He must be obsessed with you. He was going to rape you and kill you. It's all my fault."
"I wasn’t going to kill her."
"That’s a relief," Rob said sarcastically. "But you were going to rape her?"
    "Well…" Brian shrugged. "Technically, yes."
The anger boiled over in Rob. After dropping the phone, he rushed over to Brian and grabbed him around the neck. "I’m not going to call the police. I’m just going to kill you myself."
Rob squeezed him around the neck more tightly. Brian looked to be in distress.
Devastated, Jillian screamed, "ROB, STOP IT!"
As Brian grabbed Rob's wrists, Rob stared at his mother, confused. "If we're lucky, he’ll be convicted and serve maybe two years. Then he’ll get out and come back for you. I’m not going to let him."
"YOU’RE HURTING HIM. I LOVE HIM!"
Releasing his grip slightly, Rob moved his perplexed look to Brian.
    "Now, let him go."
Rob released him completely, and Brian moved away, coughing, choking, and catching his breath. Rob turned toward his mother. "You love him?"
"Yes, we’ve been seeing each other since Spring Break, and we fell in love."
Rob glared at Brian and returned his attention to Jillian, even more baffled. "I'm so confused right now."
Leaning against the wall, Brian rubbed his neck as he struggled to speak. "It just... just happened. I don’t know what to say." His penis was still huge and sticking straight out.
They looked down at it, Rob sickened and Jillian absolutely flabbergasted. She asked, "Why the hell are you still hard?"
    "Viagra," Brian said faintly.
"Huh?" was all she could think to say.
Grabbing the pillow again, Brian covered up.
Jillian looked apologetically at her son. "Please sit down."
Rob moved over to the bed in a haze and sat. He looked up at her as she began, "We’re getting married."
    "What?"
"We’re in love, and we’re getting married. I wanted to tell you last week, but you were so depressed that—"
Rob gave her an incredulous look. "He’s going to be my new stepfather?"
"Well..." She looked at Brian, confused, and her eyes wandered back to Rob. "I mean, uh, I guess."
"No one expects you to call me Dad or anything." As soon as Brian started, he knew it was the wrong thing to say, but he couldn’t stop. Jillian gave him a wide-eyed stare, and Rob just glared at him. After shrugging his shoulders, Brian added, "I can’t be responsible for what I’m saying. All the blood is, uh, well you... I’ll just shut up now."
She shook her head while holding her chin.
Standing, Rob gave them an angry look. "This is not happening." He went to a drawer, grabbed shorts and a shirt, and put them on as Jillian watched, unsure of what to say. He moved directly in front of her. "Please just give me the car keys."
    "Where are you going?"
    "I’m driving home."
"Why don’t you wait until morning?"
Rob shook his head, incensed, grabbed his wallet off the dresser and his cell phone from the bed, and returned to stand in front of his mother, waiting. "I need your car keys."
She glanced at Brian then back to Rob, opening her mouth to speak, but nothing came out.
    "The keys, please."
She gave him a weak smile. "Okay, maybe it's best if we all cool off and talk later. You haven’t been drinking, have you?"
    "No."
"You be careful. It's late and..." She handed over the keys. "I’ll see you at the house tomorrow, and we can talk about this."
    "I won’t be there then."
    "Rob."
    "What?"
She sighed. "Just... I’m sorry, and I love you."
After giving her a skeptical look, Rob took off down the steps.

A few minutes later, Jillian called Victoria, and after chewing her out for putting Brian up to this ridiculous stunt, told her Rob was on his way home. Two hours later, Jillian sat up in bed, completely worried, as she tried Rob’s cell phone again
