    Ethan and I wrapped up our last song. It was great seeing him and the guys again. They only stopped by for a couple of hours, since they have to be in Amsterdam tomorrow for three shows, but it was still great to see them. As I am hugging Ethan, he whispers in my ear, “You know, after tonight’s performance, which you totally rocked by the way, you won’t be able to keep Christien in the dark about yo u being on this side of the Pond.”
    I let out a long drawn out sigh. “Ethan I am not hiding from him. It would do no good if I did. At least once a year, he makes it his mission in life to find me and try to get me to take him back. Tonight won’t make any difference.”
    Ethan’s face became suddenly somber. “Lovey, he was a prick, but I know he truly loves you. He could be a good father to your boys and a good friend to you.”
    As I looked up at Ethan, I had to roll my eyes. “Ethan I know he loves me, I love him too in a way. I’m just not in love with him. I won’t take his chance to find that kind of happiness away, just because it will make my life easier. He would only end up resenting me and my boys.”
    “Lovey, you are always looking out for everyone else. Who looks out for you? Well I guess your little soldier boys did a good job of looking out for you tonight,” Ethan laughs and shakes his head.
    Instantly alert, my gaze becomes suddenly sharp, “What the bloody hell are you talking about?”
    Ethan just shook his head. “The guys called me earlier to make sure I would be here tonight. They also called to make sure that I would bring my biggest and roughest bodyguard tonight and gave me instructions for him. Bobby, that behemoth over there, made sure that that your arsehole of an ex was told that he didn’t belong here with our friends and us. That he didn’t fit in.”
    Shocked and mortified, I could only stare at Ethan as frustration and embarrassment painted my face with a rosy blush. What the hell had they been thinking? “What the bloody hell were they thinking? That is only going to keep me on his radar, and I honestly don’t think I can take anymore of his asinine shit!”
    “Calm down Lovey; one more ‘bloody hell’ and you will revert back to full blown Cockney, and you have been out of London long enough for that accent to be nothing more than an unpleasant memory by now. They were just protecting you, while standing firmly in your corner. If I wasn’t so damn jaded, I would swear they were being right chivalrous.”
    “Whatever Ethan! You guys stay safe and I hope you all will come to see me in the States .” After saying our goodbyes and promises to get together soon, I started to head to the front of the building to hail a cab. Sensing someone watching me, I whirled around only to get shocked by the face of a childhood friend I hadn’t seen since Rashid, Murad, and I left to go to Oxford eleven years ago.
    “Yasser, I would have never guessed that I would see you here. Not that I am not glad, but it is quite a shock. What brings you to Morocco?”
