everything was ready. Their decorations were gorgeous, if not a little over done. The main room where they were having the party was red and gold. Sure, Kade said it looked like a brothel. However, Calli took care of him and his comments.
They spent the last few days wrapping and cooking, everything was prepared for the following morning, when the few of the children were going to find small gifts at the foot of their bed. The rest would be under the tree.
Vivi grinned. Everyone should be surprised at their gifts, including Rissa whom they had a specific gift for. Brenda and Shelly were getting that prepared late tonight, while Vivi set out the rest of the gifts.
The men had at least gotten on the ball and snuck out to buy their mates a few things. She seriously hoped Kade refrained from buying the gun Calli wanted, that was all they needed, firearms for Christmas. She shook her thoughts away and concentrated on finishing the room.
Along the far wall was a buffet style table set up. It had plates already on one side, and then there was another table for drinks. For the morning, they had breakfast and then they would clear it up for the afternoon meal. So much food had been brought in.
The small compound off to the north was a flurry of activity, too. Kade and his Betas were going to look later tonight to see if there was something they should know about going on there. More and more shifters had begun to show up there. However, none of the members of the Pack dared to contact them because the wards went right up to their fence. If the wards were broken, they would have an issue.
Kade even went so far as to have a few of the Pack members approach it from the other side, but the compound had wards of their own. And they had been unable to get close enough. The closest side was right in their own back yard. It was weird.
Calli, Cherri, and Rissa still believed they were doing something illegal. It was the source of entertainment every time they brought up the subject. Vivi hoped they did not bring it up during Christmas.
The chairs were dispersed in the room, littered around so that everyone could talk without yelling. They needed to make sure they were getting the connection with each other.
Brenda and Shelly appeared and smiled. “We have them all wrapped,” Shelly sighed.
“Well, let’s get them in here. The kids still need to feel like they have hope,” Vivi said.
By the time they were done, the tree they decorated was surrounded by wrapped presents with huge bows. It looked amazing. Vivi smiled, it reminded her of the large family gatherings when her own family would do something similar. They had a lot of extended family, Vivi wondered for a minute if any of them would join them. They were family after all.
Shaking off her thoughts, she smiled and said, “Goodnight ladies, we'll see each other in the morning.”
Her friends hugged one another, and they went to their separate rooms. Vivi smiled when she thought of her daughter's reaction to the main room.

“Oh shit,” Calli muttered when she walked into the main room where they told her mother to decorate.
“Uh, there are no words, I mean literally, no words for what I'm seeing,” Kade said with an awestruck voice.
The room was transformed. The walls were draped with red fabric, and they had gold bows at the top and the bottom, apparently to hold them up. The tables had gold and red tablecloths. A huge tree that looks possibly fresh was crazy decorated. And the presents, shit there had to be more than a hundred under there, all different sizes, and wrapped prettily. Truly, her mother had outdone herself.
“Where is my coffee?” Cherri grumbled and then paused. “Whoa.”
Her mates laughed and wrapped their arms around her and kissed her. Apparently, they were standing under mistletoe.
Then there was Rissa, with a loud ‘whoop’ she ran into the room and looked excitedly around. “Just like home!”
    Her friends laughed, when they
