pockets and he was standing a few
feet away from me staring at the floor the whole time he spoke.
“I’m new at this, so I don’t know what you’re
talking about but I can tell you exactly what was going on with me
if you want to know, I don’t know if that would help you understand
whatever it is you’re not getting but if you do please tell me, I’d
like to know.”
“It’s not that just…. Look, we’ll talk about
this later. We need to do the tour before the ball and it’s getting
late and… you might want to change.” He pointed at a spot of blood
on my dress.
“Great! I liked this dress.” I heard him make
a noise when I walked to the bathroom. I picked a different dress
that was my second choice. It was light brown and it also had the
design of Virgo. It was slightly shorter but it had transparent
long sleeves I liked. I guess I could deal with that. I put it on
quickly and made sure my hair wasn’t messed up. I caught my
reflection in the mirror and noticed, my skin was looking
different, it was getting whiter and my hair was silkier.
I left the same shoes and accessories on,
they also matched this dress. I walked out of the bathroom and saw
Robert waiting by the front door, with his back to me. He heard me
getting closer and opened the door without a word. We walked in
silence, until we were at the first floor.
“You already know where the main dining area
is and the garden. This is all part of the dorms.” We went through
a black door and walked outside we crossed a small bridge that was
over a pond. “This is the main school. Your friends can show
you inside tomorrow morning… it’s locked right now.” He said dryly
while I was looking at the huge building a few yards away. “We have
an indoor pool, it’s by the garden and the Dining area of the
school, easy to find. We also have two gyms, one with weights and
the main gym they are right there.” He pointed at a building
between the school and the dorms. “ And the college student dorms
are on the other side of campus, you don’t really need to know much
about them since you won’t be going there for another year, but
just in case you were wondering.“ He scratched his head and sighed.
“That’s it. We’re done.” He still didn’t look at me. he was still
trying to ignore me. He was just doing his job, I could understand
that, but I didn’t have to like his attitude.
“You are such an ass! God, I didn’t know you
disliked me that much, or that my blood was nasty in any way but
you don’t have to act like that. I get it… I’ll take my chances
with the stupid needles okay. Who cares right? Jesus!” I stomped
off and left him standing there looking like an idiot. He was
probably not expecting that and the fact that I caught him off
guard was definitely why he didn’t say anything back. I knew the
way back inside, I think. I retraced my way in and found the main
hall, it took me some time but Robert didn’t bother follow me or
even help, in fact I didn’t know where he was now. Probably another
way in… Who cares? I ran into Mereily on the way to my room.
“Mia, you changed?” She looked at my dress
and nodded, liking my choice. “Never mind that, we need to go up to
my room and start getting ready for the ball it’s at six and we
have little time.” Mereily said, I smiled as a reply and followed
her to her room.
“My room is down the hall.” I told her.
“Yeah I already went to look for you
earlier…. and you weren’t there. Why is your room the only one on
that wing?”
I knew she would ask. “I don’t know. I think
it’s because of Robert.”
“That is why. Duh, I forgot about him. Oh.
Did he show you the school?”
“Yeah, from the outside, he said it was
locked.”
She frowned. “No. it’s not. The library and
the computer lab are in there, they never close. Just in case
students want to do some extra studying,” She told me like I didn’t
know. “Must’ve forgotten,” She shrugged and
