with him. Repeatedly, Desi proved his love.
He caressed every inch of my flesh, the dimpled parts and all.
Before tonight, I’d accepted the idea of
being single forever. It’s harder to find love when most guys don’t
love extra stuffing. Desi taught me that I deserved more; I
deserved happiness. We all deserve happiness, regardless of our
size or weight. And if you’re lucky enough, you’ll be mated to a
sexy alpha with a love of tying you to the bed and ravishing every
ounce of you.

CONTROLLED BY THE ALPHA
Barrett grew up in a pack
that never accepted him. His position as pack beta had no impact on
their opinions of him either. It took six months under the rule of
a new alpha before he left it all behind and happened upon his
mate. Past the age most werewolves find a
mate, Drew assumed he wouldn’t be granted one… until he scented
Barrett. But what do you do with a mate that
refuses to accept his future with you because of his past? If
you’re a dominant alpha like Drew, you force him to surrender it
all to you.

Chapter One
BARRETT
I’d been driving for two days straight. My
body was stiff; my wolf was restless. My mind kept replaying the
scene that pushed me to pack my bags and leave the pack I’d grown
up in.
I was supposed to become alpha, but the
acquiescent beta in me allowed the newest dominant member to take
over. He rejected every bit of my input and devalued my status
within the pack; he degraded me as a man all because of my sexual
preference.
Gay werewolves exist, but under the mountain
of scrutiny within a society that submerges themselves in
traditions and traditional values, it’s hard to ‘come out.’ I’d
been pressured since I was young to hide who I was and what I truly
longed for: a male. In particular, a dominant male.
I’d recognized my need to submit early on.
It didn’t mean I was weak, easy or pathetic. I was an equal. I
could stand toe to toe with any alpha, and I did. I had. It was why
I left. I refused to be belittled by my peers, by my parents and
elders when I’d earned their regard. Rather than fling words they’d
dismiss, I stood up for myself; I killed the new crude alpha before
taking off.
I deserved to be treated with respect. Who I
am attracted to shouldn’t be connected to my significance within a
pack; just because I broke their perfect mold, because I longed to
caress hard muscle rather than feminine curves, didn’t mean they
had the right to silence and subjugate me.
I didn’t know where I was headed. I didn’t
know what I’d find, but it had to be better than what I’d left
behind.

Chapter Two
DREW
I pulled into the gas station. I threw the
truck into park and sat in silence for a moment. It’d been a long
day. No one was prepared for one of our eldest pack members to fall
ill. It was a mild cold, but at his age, it could easily become
more.
“ Want me to run in and get
it?” Jonah, my beta, asked.
“ Nah. I’ve got it. Martha
showed me the package so I know what to grab.”
He nodded, acquiescing.
The older female pack member had requested a
specific medicine that surprisingly wasn’t found in the local drug
store; only at the gas station, where the owner imported herbal
concoctions from the
