instinctively next to his. “So, what now, cowboy?”

“ Well, if I had my way I'd take you back upstairs to my bed. But I doubt that's what you have on your mind.” Beau decided not to beat around the bush. He wanted Marissa again. The intense lust filling his blood came from nowhere, yet overwhelmed his senses to the highest levels. His cock was already turning hard with the thought of sinking into her warm, welcoming body again.

She didn't back down. An emotion he couldn't identify flickered in her eyes. “You'd be surprised at what I have on my mind.” Her softly spoken words made Beau want to taste them on her lips.

He was seeing a different Marissa from the spitfire he had met the night before. Was she bi-polar or something? The soft kitten with the sheathed claws standing before him was nothing like the hissing tiger he knew was waiting just beneath the surface. Yet Beau couldn't blame her for the unfriendly reaction in her dressing room, after the way he'd introduced himself. And he couldn't blame her for wanting to control her own life.

Still, he decided to tread lightly until he knew what game she was playing. “What happened to the stubborn, opinionated woman from last night? The one ready to claw out my eyes?”

Marissa laughed. “That was the result of too many nights without sleep, and work overload,” she explained. “I'm sorry about that. Not too many people have had the pleasure of meeting that, ah, side of me. And you survived.”

“ Are there any other sides I need to be aware of?” He grinned.

Marissa shook her head slowly. “I'm afraid I can get like that when I'm hungry, too. And when I'm, ah, sexually frustrated.”

“ Is that right?” He moved closer to her. Bracing his hands against the sink on either side of her. “I think I can help with those two little problems.” Beau leaned against her, letting her feel his hard-on.

She smelled nice. Her subtle fragrance teased his senses. He heard her catch her breath when he thrust his hips against her, yet when he lowered his face to kiss her she pulled back. Their gazes met, hers were slightly dazed. But it was the smile on her tempting mouth that made him ignore her reaction. Not wasting another second, Beau lowered his head and took her lips captive.

He groaned low as soon as his mouth closed over her soft lips. There was no denying the taste of coffee on her mouth and mint on her breath. As their tongues melded and explored, soft moans filled the kitchen. Losing control Beau leaned deeper into her so he could feel her shapely curves. Only it wasn't enough. With a sound of frustration, his hands moved between their bodies and he pulled open the shirt she was wearing.

His hands covered her luscious breasts, the nipples already hard like kernels. Pulling away from her mouth, he lowered his head and took one into his mouth. She sighed when he rolled it on his tongue. Then Beau moved on to the other one. Damn! She was addictive, and her little mewling sounds of pleasure were urging him on. He didn't need much encouragement. He had a full-blown erection that was about to burst through his pants.

Beau picked Marissa up and headed for his bedroom. With his long strides it didn't take them long to get there. During the trip, her hands worked at the buttons to his denim shirt. By the time he set her on her feet by the bed, she was pushing it off his shoulders and down his arms. It fell to the floor, and he kissed her roughly, doing the same thing to her shirt. Soon there was a puddle of clothing at their feet and they were stark naked in each other's arms, kissing and touching each other wildly.

Without warning Beau pushed Marissa back upon the
