pressure from those clamps, he stopped tugging at my sound of distress.  We pulled up in front of an elegant two-story mansion. Without warning, he removed the tiny clamps, sending a shockwave of almost pain through them.  “I want everyone to see how ready you are to be pleased.” His fingers grazed over the hardened peaks and he smiled indulgently.
Joel handed a small bag over to Seth and he took it then dug inside.  Pulling out two tiny black masks, he put mine on, adjusting my hair around it, before sliding one on his face.  “You’re not to speak tonight, kitten, unless spoken to.”
Joel slid out of the driver’s seat and walked around to open our door.  My heart fell into my stomach at the look of worry that crossed his face.  I wasn’t given time to question him as he took my hand, helping me stand. Seth seemed incredibly tense for some reason and my own agitation rose because of it.
His normal confidence wasn’t present when we walked inside the building together, and he didn’t speak. The place was amazing but my thoughts were not really on the décor as he led me through the barren entry, down a long hall that ended with a huge, out of place wooden door.  There was a long, velvet pull cord hanging down beside it and a strange engraved symbol that reminded me of the triangle on a dollar bill.
“Remember what I said, not a word tonight.  These people won’t tolerate disobedience and even I can’t protect you if your actions lead to discipline.”  The fact that he sounded even more worried now freaked me out more than what he’d said, and I tugged back on his hand not sure I wanted to know what rested beyond this ancient looking door.
“Calm yourself.  Keep quiet, eyes on the floor, and you’ll be fine.” The tone he used warned me not to argue and I stiffened, not sure I appreciated it.  Watching his hand lift to tug the cord, I wanted to run back the other way.  The door opened almost immediately and only his warning kept me from following from my thoughts.
The man holding the door open was naked except for a black leather collar around his neck.  It reminded me of something used for an oversized dog and the only ornamentation was a silver looped ring.  He had a beautiful physique, it was hard not to notice with it displayed so blatantly, and his face was handsome from what I could decipher behind the mask he wore.
Seth gripped my forearm with little gentleness and walked me through and I bit back a gasp at the sights that surrounded me.  The entire room looked medieval, with glowing torches embraced inside the stone walls as the only light.  At the back of the room there was a wooden stage that could have easily been used for public hangings many centuries ago.  I was terrified!
I’d seen pictures of dungeons, and read about them in romance novels, but what I was seeing now didn’t fit any of those images.  Everything here appeared to be from the dark ages, and I didn’t want to know what they used half of the equipment for.  It bordered on barbaric.  My breathing grew labored and I felt a full blown panic attack coming on, even though I’d never had one before.
“Breathe, kitten.” Seth lowered his mouth to whisper in my ear, “If you’re a good girl, you have nothing to worry about.”
He was fucking psychotic!  I didn’t give a damn how sexy he was, or what he made me feel, this was beyond anything I was willing to deal with and I didn’t even know yet what they did here.  Obviously I could guess, because the scenarios going through my mind were anything but pleasant.
“Take me home,” I whispered, knowing I wasn’t supposed to talk, but how the hell else was I going to let him know I wasn’t okay with this?
He glanced around the room, and I had no idea what he was looking for, nor did I care, unless it was the exit.  “You will keep quiet.  Don’t make me gag you.” The way he spoke the threat left me no doubt he would and in that moment, he
