waist as he slowly sank into her heat. Their mating was slow, tempered by sweet kisses and soft sighs, and Phillipa felt the quickening deep inside her that signaled her imminent release.
“I love you, Phillipa,” he declared as he surged harder against her. “No one has ever cared about what might become of me before.”
Her nails raked across his back and she cried out as her release exploded through her body. He heaved into her once more and she felt the familiar swell of a wolf’s cock as it stretched her just to the point of pain. His hot come flooded inside her, sending her into another violent shudder as a smaller orgasm rocked her body.
He stayed buried inside of her even as he began to go soft. “You never answered my question,” she said. “Is there a way to make you human once more?”
“The only way is to kill the wolf that sired me. I’ve seen it happen to a few others over the years if their sires were killed, but they usually don’t get the chance to turn back human before Wulf has marked them again. Killing Wulf will set us both free, Phillipa. But it could take an army to defeat him. He has dark powers, reinforced by the fires of hell. It will not be easy.”
“I will write a letter to my grandmother telling her what has happened. You must somehow find a way to take it to her.”
He nodded once and shifted to move off of her. He gathered their supplies and then led her back to the lake so they could wash away the scent of their lovemaking. Only by the time they’d reached the water’s edge, the heat that forever plagued her body had consumed her once again. But this time, their loving wasn’t gentle.
Jacob bent her to her knees and mounted her as his animal demanded. Her hands fisted in the grass as he grasped her hips and thrust inside her to the hilt. Even having just taken him not long before, she gasped at his intrusion, for the new position made his fit more snug so she felt every ridge of his cock against her inner walls.
“Yes, harder,” she screamed as his thrusts became relentless.
His sac slapped against her ass and his hand reached beneath her and flicked at her bud of pleasure. She pushed back against him as he bottomed out inside of her, the pleasure its own form of pain. He bit down on her shoulder and her pussy clenched around him like a vise.
He swelled inside of her and his howl of release echoed through the trees. Phillipa screamed out her own pleasure and collapsed to the ground, her arms and legs no longer holding her steady. He continued to thrust into her prone body until he was completely spent.
The heavens opened and the rain poured down on their heated bodies before their breathing slowed to normal.

Chapter Ten:

    Waiting for Jacob’s Return

They somehow managed to get cleaned up and back to the cottage before darkness fell. Phillipa penned a note to her grandmother and sent it with Jacob, hoping his return would be swift so they could begin their lives together. She didn’t kiss him goodbye to keep his scent from her body, but she let him see the tears in her eyes as he made his departure.
She wasn’t ready to face the men who slept in her bed so soon after having Jacob inside of her, so she slipped into the small room under the stairs and lit the candles throughout the room. It was a library that held a small hearth and a desk clear of papers. Bookshelves lined the walls and were filled from floor to ceiling with books. From the amount of dust that had gathered along the shelves, she assumed that the wolves were not big readers.
Phillipa selected a thin volume of poetry and curled onto the window seat that faced the path she’d taken down to the pond. She covered herself with a soft afghan that had been folded on the seat and leaned her head against the glass. This was the one room in the cottage that let in sufficient light from the windows.
The rain was coming down in sheets and lightning tore the sky in two. Thunder shook the
