bed sat on a chocolate brown wood platform that
was low to the ground. The mattress didn’t cover the whole
platform, allowing a step on each side of the mattress and the foot
of the bed. His sheets were white and brown striped with matching
pillows and the comforter was solid milk chocolate brown with a
large square pattern embroidered on it. He had the traditional
nightstands and dressers that matched the bedroom set.
A cream rug sat under the bed separating the browns
from each other. The masculine room décor was completed with
a large flat screen TV that hung over a fireplace on the far wall.
Clearly no woman had ever lived here.
After reminiscing, I got up and got dressed making my
way downstairs. The smell of bacon filled my nostrils and I heard
Brandon talking when I reached the top of the stairs. I stopped
walking, not wanting to interrupt his conversation.
“I told you to stop calling me; this isn’t a good
time… No, I don’t care – I can’t talk to you right now. I’m not
doing this anymore with you.… I told you I was done… No, just stop
calling me please… it’s over and I have nothing more to say to
you.” Then I heard the phone drop into its cradle.
I waited a few more seconds before I finished walking
down the stairs. When I got to the bottom, I headed to the kitchen
where I found Brandon making scrambled eggs, with bacon cooking in
the oven.
“Yum, it smells so good in here,” I said as I walked
over to where my shirt was lying on the floor. After putting it
back on, I walked over to where Brandon was cooking and wrapped my
arms around his waist from behind while placing my head on his back
and hugged him. He didn’t know I heard his phone conversation, so
he didn’t mention anything about the call to me. I figured it was
his ex Christy calling and I knew how hard break-ups are, so I
didn’t mention it either.
*~*~*
After breakfast we made our way to my place so I
could change into clean clothes. Ryan was lying on the couch still
in her pajamas when we walked in.
“Hey Ry, whatcha doin’?” I asked.
“You know, lying around feeding my face.” My heart
broke for her. I was the same way only a few weeks ago.
“Come on, why don’t you come to the zoo with us?” I
glanced over to Brandon and gave him a questioning glance and a
smile. He nodded in confirmation.
“I don’t want to be a third wheel.”
“You’re not. Please come, it’ll be fun.”
Ryan still seemed reluctant, but she finally caved
and agreed to come.
“Good, now I’m going to jump in the shower real quick
and when I am done, you can shower and get ready. We’ll wait for
you,” I said as I started to walk to my room.
Brandon sat down on the opposite
couch that we had in the living room and started
watching HGTV with Ryan. I quickly hurried and took a shower. Dressing in
my robe, I walked to my room and yelled to Ryan that the shower was
free.
When I entered my room Brandon was waiting for me. He
didn’t say a word as he walked over and closed the door behind
me.
“What’s wrong?” I asked but he still didn’t say a
word.
He backed me up so my back was against the door. His
hands were on both sides of my head, pinning me where I stood.
“Wha…” Before I could ask him again what was wrong, his lips were
on mine, parting them and exploring my mouth with his tongue.
He started to untie my robe. “Wait, Ryan is here and
she might hear us,” I said, breaking our kiss.
“She’ll be in the shower,” Brandon said and returned
to kiss me and finished untying my robe.
He slipped my robe over my shoulders and it puddled
onto the floor around my feet. I was completely naked and at his
mercy. His hands palmed my ass and pulled me in hard against his
jeans, letting me feel his erection. I lifted his shirt and pulled
it over his head, dropping it on the floor with my robe.
My eyes drifted to his chest. “You have a tattoo…I
didn’t see this last
