use this for tonight. I figured since it’s a new year and everything, I might as well do something new.” He hit my shoulder. “My boy looking fresh. I see you came out here looking like a black James Bond.”
“Thank you. I’m feeling that suit on you though. Is that Armani?” He nodded his head. “I didn’t know they made it in that size.” He threw me a fake punch.
“They make it for you once you got the bread, my nigga. You ready to go?” He asked. I pulled out my phone and cancelled my cab.
“Aight, drive me around like I’m Miss Daisy.”

Janet and I walked out of the building looking like superstars. It was two hours away from midnight and we were headed to the party. I’m so glad I came up with the idea for us to switch our outfits. She looked gorgeous in my sleek and fitting black dress. Her hair was in soft curls that framed her face. Her mermaid gold dress fit on me perfectly. It made me look like a celebrity. I’m so glad that I had a side bang, nice waves in my hair, and beautiful makeup.
“Hey models.” Some guy said as his car drove past us.
“Damn, I’m not even going to lie, that felt good.” Janet smiled. “We out here looking like models.”
“Yeah I know.” I bragged. “But this is just regular shit for me.” Janet rolled her eyes.
“So, Ms. Model, what time is this cab coming?”
    “Here it is right now.”
We got in the Uber and sat back. We were so excited for this party. It was in Manhattan around the Financial District. As soon as the car stopped, you just saw bright lights and a long line. People were in there from everywhere. We got out of the car. I started walking towards the line when Janet cleared her throat.
“Bitch...you know better than that.” She said behind me. “Am I the type of heifer that waits in fucking lines?” She shook her head.
“I don’t know what I was thinking.” I sighed and then chuckled. “I must have forgot who I was with.”
Janet was this party planner. At first when she told me what she wanted to do, I thought it was stupid. But when she started to get booked for a lot of events, I had to give it to her. She was really doing her thing and making money at it. One day she would tell me that she was throwing a party for a sixteen year old, and then she threw a party for a local DJ. After she did the party for the DJ she was getting more gigs and getting more money. She was making a name for herself and because of it, she was getting connections. So when we did go out and party, we always went straight to the front.
“I forgot that I was with this big time party planner.”
“Excuse me, I’m an event specialist.” She corrected me but I just made a silly face. “Come on, I got us into VIP, with our own private table, and we got bottle service.”
“Damn you know how to make someone feel all special.” I smiled.
Janet made her way to the front of the line. She leaned into the security guard’s ear. He smiled and then nodded her head.
“We thought that you weren’t going to show up.” He gave her a slight hug. “Everything is set up for you.” He waved over another huge stocky guy. “Hey, Jose, can you escort these young ladies to VIP?” He asked. Some haters looked at us and shook their head. I just ignored them and followed them inside. We walked in and all eyes fell on us. Guys were looking at us and females were trying to see who we were. I guess we really looked like somebody and when we were escorted to VIP, people actually moved out of the way.
The bottle service girls came with our bottles and people started looking over at us. We started dancing and sipping to Beyonce. We then went out to the dance floor and started going crazy. We were moving and dancing like no one was around. The security guard that was watching over VIP was laughing at how much fun we were having.
“Isn’t he your type?” I whispered in Janet’s ears. “You like them light, or Spanish, with light eyes, and
