things calmed down for me at work, Wyatt’s job had him crazy busy.  I was glad that things were finally settling down, and we were going to meet up at Dave & Buster’s for some fun.  I was hoping by the tone of his note in the arrangements he sent me and a phone call we’d had a last night that he would try to do more than kiss me good night.  I was beginning to think I was getting friend zoned.

After getting off work a little early, I went home to relax for just a bit before I need to get ready.  This would be our fifth date, yes I was counting, and still just kisses.  Since I was hoping for a little more tonight, I made sure to take a little extra time getting ready. I polished my toe nails while watching TV and when it was time for my shower, I made sure I shaved all the vital spots.  I picked my cherry blossom lotion because I loved how it matched up with my favorite Vickie’s Secret perfume.  I decided to wear my hair down, with a few curls in it.  I picked out a pink lacy matching bra and panty set.  I have no idea if guys really pay attention to that stuff but if they do, I wanted him to like it.  I threw on a pair of jeans, a pink sweater and my riding boots and then I was on my way.

I checked in on Syd and her Phil drama while I drove.  I had been so busy I really didn’t know too much about what was going on besides what I was able to decipher through text messages.

Apparently she decided that she wanted to see Phil again even if just for another night of crazy sex.  She said that she wasn’t interested in anything more but I knew that was a lie because Phil was exactly what Syd looked for in a man.  He was tall with dark hair that he probably spent thirty minutes on, making it look like he just rolled out of bed.  He had beautiful blue eyes, a mole right over his lip and just enough facial hair to make it seem as if he forgot to shave, instead of the well planned out look that it was.  This was going to be trouble.  She told me that the day after their hook up she texted him a couple of times but he didn’t respond, so the next day she tried again once more.  Again, no response.  Then Friday night around 1am he sent her a drunken text asking if he could come by. Syd being Syd let him come over.  Her excuse was that she only wanted him for sex so why should she care when he called, just as long as he called.  Once again she said that the sex was mind-blowing.  She said at one point he had her sitting on one of her kitchen counters while he was on his knees with his face between her thighs.  Note to self: Don’t eat anything that Syd has cooked in her house or any food that was on her counters .  I could already see what direction this was going in.

I asked Syd if she talked to her co-worker Jenny about him.  She said she tried to bring it up but all that Jenny would say about him was, “Phil's a great guy but be careful.”

“Syd did you ask her if they dated?”
“She said that they hadn’t and just that she’s known him a long time.”
“She wouldn’t give you any more than that?”
“Nope, she said he’s a good friend, and she loves him and just to be careful.”
“Well Syd, then maybe you shouldn’t see him anymore.”
“Too late, he’s coming over later.”
“Ugh! Syd! What are you doing?”
“Having fucking amazing sex, that’s what!  Don’t be jealous!  Maybe you’ll finally get some tonight babe.”
I laughed and hoped she was right.

“You’re a mess Syd! I love you, please be careful!”
“Girl it’s just sex. I’ll be fine. You know me!”
“Yea I do so be careful.  Love you!”
    “Love you too.”

I was distracted by my conversation with Syd, so I didn’t notice that Wyatt had pulled up on my passenger side and was sitting waiting for me. When I finally stepped out of my car I saw him.  God he’s gorgeous , I thought.  He got of his truck and walked around to me and he had the biggest smile on
