    Bo led Callie to the renovated room on the ranch he now called his own. There was one other large suite that Rafe used, and three other nice-size bedrooms in the old converted farmhouse. Eventually it would likely be the room they shared with the wife they wanted to find.
    He wished Callie could be that woman. The truth was Bo was lying to himself if he thought he could ever let her go again. But he’d promised her nothing permanent back before they’d made love in her office. He’d never renege on a promise, but he might do his best to make her want to stay with them for a time.
    “I see you’ve done some renovations. I saw the luxury kitchen when I was here the other day. It’s beautiful.”
    “Rafe did it while I was overseas. I told him to knock it down, level it, and start over, but he kept the best elements and expanded the rest.”
    “Yes. From the outside it doesn’t look like much has changed, but inside is a whole different place.” She swiveled her head around to look at what Bo called the upscale Western decor. Everything in the house was taller, brighter, and technologically updated to a sophisticated level.
    It was all more than they needed, really, but Rafe was a techno wizard and he liked electronic toys. The hardwood floors and leather furniture made the place look masculine. Perhaps if Callie wanted to stay she could add a feminine touch. Bo mentally shook his head. It was very dangerous to already be figuring out ways to keep her here. He needed to let her go.
    He understood more than anyone her need to leave the past and make a better future for herself. And a subject he planned to stay away from anytime they were together.
    They climbed the stairs and arrived at his room. He’d left the lights low, and turned down the sheets on his massive wooden carved sleigh bed.
    “I want to start by undressing you, Cal. I’ve missed the sheer delight of slowly revealing your body one removed article of clothing at a time.”
    Callie lifted her arms in the air slowly, swirling her hands and undulating her arms like she was about to do a harem dance in front of him. She paused and smiled. “Well, come on then and take my clothes off, Bo. I know we have all night, but I’m ready to go.”
