Real fear crawled his spine now. He didn’t dare look up to see how his friends and his coach took the news.

“She took it too far, Coach. " Kevin said softly. "I didn’t know how else to deal with it. Play it off as a joke. But seeing the look of panic in Kyle’s eyes just made me mad.
