He looked over to see Brandi, fists clenched, screaming, “Shut up Tony! I’m coming god damn it, there’s no reason to be such a dick. You were sleeping anyway you asshole! Shut up, shut up, shut up!”
The four just stared at her baffled. The amount of noise this tiny, thin woman could produce was mind numbing and ear splitting as well. Isaac said, “Jesus Christ, what is wrong with her?”
Jack said, “I don’t know brother, maybe she didn’t get quite as long of a cat nap as she needed?”
Brandi took off her high heels and marched with a purpose, one filled with purpose and hate. The other four made their way but did not go nearly as quickly as her. The idea of having to talk to her when she was this mad did not make any of them want to catch up to her. When she got within twenty yards of the camp, she hurled her high heels one after another. Isaac said, “Why don’t we give them a few minutes to talk, maybe he just wants her and only her. It’s only going to make shit more awkward if we go there and they don’t want us to be a part of their talk.”
They watched as she disappeared around the side of the truck and when she did, Brandi screamed at the top of her lungs. This wasn’t a scream of anger, but one to let them know that she was going to rip his head off, this was because she was scared for his life and had no clue what to do. She backed up, hunched over dry heaving, and yelling, "Somebody fucking help me. Somebody help him. Please now, come here!”
The four sprinted and as they rounded the sport utility’s rear end, they saw the red covered grass. Brandi was down on the ground holding hands towards Tony and didn’t know what to do with the wounds. Jack pushed her out of the way, when she fell she started screaming all over again seeing her blood soaked legs. Jack ripped his shirt off and pressed it to Tony's wound, holding it as tight as possible without choking the man. Jack made the assumption and everyone followed along with it. He said, “Why the fuck did you do this to yourself?”
Katy said, “What are you talking about? How do you know?”
Jack pointed with his free hand at his arm and said, “Look at this cut. There is no stitching this easily; he’s going to need hours to fix this. He wanted to commit suicide look at this. Brandi was he acting weird last night?”
Brandi just stared back, tears pouring now and a mess of makeup running down her cheeks. “I don’t know. We drank, we fucked, that’s what we do, so no I guess he was normal. I didn’t even know he had a knife on him that could do that.”
Jack said, “Well, it sure as hell seems like he did.”
Isaac pulled the rear door open and popped the seats down, making it possible for them to lay Tony flat in the sport utility. He said, “He doesn’t have time for this talking. We need to get out of here and do it now. I need someone to sit in the back with him and apply pressure. Jack, I don’t think you are gonna fit with him in there. Traci, can you handle it honey?”
“Well, I’m sure as hell not going to make any promises but I'll do my damnedest to do my best.”
Jack pointed with his free hand. “Now look here, you put pressure across the front of his neck and you hold this around his arm. Isaac, we lift on three. You ready?”
Isaac knelt down and the two lifted on three sliding Tony into the rear of the SUV. He started to shake and his eyes opened looking around insanely trying to speak. Traci screamed, “I don’t know what you were thinking but it wasn’t the answer! We are taking you to the hospital. We are going to get you help.”
Jack shut the door once she was situated. Isaac slid behind the wheel. He said, “I don't know when we’ll be back, but you guys wait here. Try to clean Brandi up and give her some of the good stuff. I think she could use it.”
Isaac slid in, started the vehicle, and accelerated while not flooring it and sped down the gravel road. He watched as they made it one,
