to find that out for yourself, if you really want to know.”
Sarah gave her a curious look. “Maybe
I will.” Then she arched her body and backstroked across the pool, giving Maria
a most erotic view before turning and swimming back to her.
    Maria climbed onto a floating
cushion and held another out for Sarah.
    “Spicy.” Sarah’s eyes glittered. “That’s
an apt description for you—you do make me think of cinnamon.” Sarah’s cheeks
turned red and then she closed her eyelids, as if to hide her desire.
Maria nodded. She could wait. It was
just a matter of time before Sarah’s sexual curiosity or hunger would induce
her to act.
They floated lazily for a while. Smoothing
her belly, wishing it was Sarah’s fingers caressing her skin and dipping lower,
Maria watched Sarah’s breasts rising and falling gently. She licked her lips
and rubbed her mound. It was tempting to bring herself off with the sun warming
her skin and Sarah warming her blood. But she pulled back from the edge. “Hey,
you.”
Sarah cocked an eye open and gave
her a small smile. “Yes.”
“You’re not used to the California
sun. Unless you want to rival a red lobster, we’d better get back under the
shade.” She pointed toward the lounge chairs beside the pool.
“I do burn easy.” Sarah rolled off
the cushion and angled toward the chairs.
Both women climbed out of the pool
at the same time. “Damn,” Maria said, “I forgot to bring out towels. Guess we’ll
just have to dry off out here.” Maria stretched out on the nearest chaise and
pointed to the one beside her.
    “How convenient. You are so
forgetful.” Sarah shook her head and flashed a smile as she stretched out on
the lounge. “Of course, any seducing will be up to me.”
    “Of course.” Maria frowned. “You’re
not going to hold it against me for wanting to flaunt the possibilities?”
Sarah leaned back and sighed. “You’re
a delight to look at.”
“Our skin tones will do nice
together, don’t you think?” Maria tried not to purr. “Cinnamon and ivory.”
Sarah closed her eyes. “I’m trying
not to think about it too much.”
“Too bad,” Maria sighed. “I can
hardly imagine anything else. We’re going to be damn good together, you know?”
“So do we tell Adam I know you’re
not his maid, but rather his lover?”
    Maria grinned wickedly at Sarah
peeking through lowered eyelashes. “Why should we? It might be more fun to let
him think you’re buying into the charade.”
“That might give me the advantage I
need.”
“What is it with you two?” Maria
turned on her side. “It sounds like each of you thinks you’re engaged in some
sort of life and death battle.”
    “Maybe we are.”
“I doubt that. You looked like you’d
found a sexual heaven when you came for him last night.” Maria smiled as Sarah’
eyes suddenly went wide.
    “You?” Sarah jerked upright. “You
didn’t!”
“Uh huh.” Maria didn’t attempt to
hide her smugness. “There’s a full length one-way mirror in our bedroom. Adam
had you standing right in front of it. I could’ve reached out and touched you.”
“Oh my God.” Sarah crossed her arms
below her breasts. “You saw him fingering me and licking me.”
Maria nodded. “Your pussy looked scrumptious.
Your clit craved attention. And when Adam tongued your ass, I thought you were
going to implode. But Adam was too quick with you. Way too quick. Rest assured,
I’ll never be that quick with you. You have a body worth adoration and very,
very slow sex.”
“You better shut up,” Sarah said
hoarsely. “Or you’re going to talk me into an orgasm—and I’m the one who’s
supposed to be the seducer. Right?”
    “Right.” Maria giggled. “Though I’ve
never heard of anyone not wanting an orgasm.”
“Well, you have now. Me.” A shadow
crossed Sarah’s face. “I’m glad you enjoyed watching. If I’d known, I might’ve
been able to put on a better show. So did you come with
