due back soon.” Delaius rolled his eyes. “I’ll introduce you if you like, though you’ll have to watch William. He tends to have a temper.” Delaius smiled.
Jack still felt perplexed but with the weekend he was having he wasn’t surprised. “I’ll be down in a minute. Just need to put something else on” he said looking at the pajamas he was wearing. “Hey Delaius” he said as Delaius turned to face him at the door. “How about a little magic, show you’re legitimate eh?” he said grinning.
Delaius chuckled and left the room. As Jack heard him get to the stairs he watched as the door shut by itself. He heard Delaius shouting from halfway down the stairs. “How’s that?”
Jack didn’t look amazed “pretty poor to be honest.” he said with a grin “could have been the wind.” he muttered.
He heard Delaius chuckle down the stairs. He looked in the wardrobe for his clothes, but they were nowhere to be found. Looking behind him he saw them folded neatly on the bed.
“No way” Jack said aloud in amazement. Smiling, he dressed and headed out of the door and made his way downstairs.
The living room sat through an open arch on the right of the stairs. Jack glanced in but it was darkened with heavy curtains shutting out the daylight. The massive area of the hallway could have been used as another living room; instead it seemed to be a small library. At the far end of it were dozens of shelves filled with books. There must have been hundreds. As Jack scanned through them, one book caught his attention as it hadn’t been put back properly. Picking it up he read “A History of Order: 15 th - 20 th Century edition 3 by Nelly Wanwacker.” Jack opened the book and began reading bits from the introduction.
“This book tells the story of how order was kept in the 15th century up until the start of the 21st century.” Jack saw a highlighted circle with red writing that almost jumped off the page at the reader “also includes the rebuilding of the council and how order was re-established after the recent Redmond rebellions.”
Jack was intrigued but didn’t have time to read anymore as the sound of footsteps drew his attention. Putting the book back, Jack rounded the stairs, passed the front door and walked into the spacious and well-appointed kitchen. Lily was coming through the open door.
“Hey you’re up” she said “how are you feeling”
“Better” Jack replied with a smile “how about you?”
Lily chuckled “what you mean apart from thinking I’m insane from all that’s happened. Then yeah I couldn’t be better.” They both laughed as Jack looked past Lily and out of the door.
“Everyone’s outside” she told him “you should go out. The fresh air will do you good.”
“So I’ve been told” Jack said unconvinced.
“Well I’m just going to freshen up so I’ll see you out there.” Lily said as she headed for the stairs.
Jack gave her a cheeky look as she left. “You need any help?”
Lily smiled “very funny. I‘ll see you outside.”
“Yeah sure” Jack replied with a feeling of disappointment. He thought he’d rather read more of the book but instead made his way out of the kitchen door to join the rest of his friends.

The view outside was picturesque. Delaius didn’t have a garden instead his house sat on a hill with a wide vista of trees and fields. Not bad for a garden Jack thought.
The smell of freshly cut grass filled the air. A sea of green made the landscape with two mountains standing out in the distance under the bright blue sky. It was a beautiful day. There was hardly a cloud in the sky. The sun smiled down at them; humouring them with its warmth. Patches of trees and bushes lay scattered about the landscape and Jack couldn’t help but feel lost. About a quarter of a mile to his right was a stand of trees which looked like they should have been in an art gallery; they had clearly been pruned and trained to form a large maze. The outer trees
