stomach."
I ate as much as I could without getting sick. I did need to keep my energy up, but not for the reasons that David wanted. I was getting out of here.
After I was done, I got up to go back to my room. "Hold on," David said. "I have something for you."
He sat me back down and stood in front of me.
"Since the day I saw you, I knew you were the only one for me."
What the fuck was he getting at?
"You're gorgeous, sexy and sweet. And what you've given me tonight binds us forever. You're mine. And I'm all yours."
He got down on one knee.
    No. Oh God, no.
"Jadia Marie Galvin," he said, pulling a small velvet box out of his pocket. "Will you marry me?"
My eyes filled with tears and I gasped. Was he insane? I already knew the answer to that. But I had to give him what he wanted. Until I got my chance to escape.
"Yes, David." I choked out. "Yes, I'll marry you."
He whooped and picked me up, swinging me around. "Oh princess, you've made me the happiest guy on earth. And I'm going to make you so happy. I love you, Mrs. Jadia Hayes."
"I love you too," I muttered emotionlessly.
    ===========================

Unfortunately, today was Friday. I was sure that David was planning to subject me to other degrading sexual acts throughout the weekend. I looked forward to my time alone today. Before he had gone to work, I asked him to bring me some books to help pass the time. As an English teacher, he was ecstatic. "Have you even started on the Canterbury Tales?" He asked. I shook my head no. "I'll bring you some other good ones. I want my wife to be well read."
He had gone to work but left me free to move around the room. Not that there was much to do. I spent most of the day crying, a mixture of defeat and shame.
David came home and immediately burst into the room. "Hi princess! I missed you so much." He climbed on top of me and hugged me.
"I missed you too," I forced myself to say. If I ever got out of here, maybe I would go into acting. He kissed me hard.
"You look beautiful today, fiancée." He started to unbutton his pants. He was interrupted by the doorbell.
    My heart soared.
"What the fuck?" David muttered. "Stay here. And be quiet."
He climbed off me and left, locking the door behind him. I pressed my ear to the door and heard a high pitched voice. "Mr. Hayes, I just don't get it. Can't you explain it to me?" My heart skipped a beat. Thank God for Amber Lewis's sluttiness.
"Miss Lewis, you can't just come to my house because you don't understand the book. This is not the time or place to discuss this."
"Well can't you just help me understand this? You're not too busy for me, are you?"
    This was my chance.
"IN HERE!" I screamed. "HELP ME! I'M IN HERE!"
    Silence.
"What was that?" I heard Amber say.
"AMBER! RUN! GET HELP!" I screamed.
    "Is that Jadia?"
"RUN, AMBER! HE'S CRAZY! GET HELP!"
I heard footsteps running. Then Amber screamed. Her scream was cut short and then I heard silence. "NO!" I screamed. I fell against the door, sobbing.
I don't know how long I laid there, but after awhile David threw the door open, slamming it into me. He was covered in dirt. "What the fuck was that?!" He bellowed. I cringed away from him. "I'm crazy? You think I'm crazy? I'll fucking show you crazy." He picked me up and threw me facedown on the bed. "You want to be saved from me, huh? You think this is a fucking game?"
He climbed on top of me and ripped my panties off. I laid there waiting for the pain. I heard him fumbling with his belt.
"No one is going to help you, Jadia. You're mine now. You want help?"
He shoved himself into my backside.
"AHH!" I screamed. I felt like I was being ripped open.
"You're mine," he repeated, slamming into me. This was a million times worse than any other pain I had ever felt. When he finally finished, he pulled out and stormed out of the room. I laid on the bed in shame and agonizing pain. For the first time since I had been here, I wanted to die. I was certain that David had killed
