kissed her as I pushed my shirt off her shoulders. Picking her up I laid her on the island and gave her what she wanted.
"I love you babygirl" I was cuddling her in my lap after another mind blowing orgasm.
She smiled at me, that little girl smile she always wore whenever I praised her for something or like now, when I professed my love for her.
    "I love you too daddy."
    My heart melted.

Chapter 11

    CHASE

It wasn't easy keeping her distracted for a whole week so the following Monday I grudgingly sent her off to school. We'd spent the weekend out on the water, we didn't go out too far at first because I wasn't sure if her tummy could handle it but she was fine.
We spent the whole day being lazy on the boat, I taught her how to man the boat to much laughter and fooling around.
I'd found a little inlet where we anchored and I took her on the sand after a picnic lunch.
Now my stomach was in knots as I buckled her into the jeep.
"Call me if anything happens today okay, I don't care what it is if you feel frightened at anytime I want you to call."
She cupped my cheeks in her hands.
"What's wrong, why are you so afraid?"
I kissed her brow, I still hadn't told her that her sister was the one to hurt her, I just told her to stay away from her family and I said it in such a way that she knew I meant business.
I wish I could stick someone on her to follow her into the classroom, I didn't feel comfortable letting her out of my sight and out the gates.
"Nothing's wrong, I just don't want you hurt." I looked into her eyes, so precious. My hand was drawn to my child in her womb, both my precious girls.
    "I love you okay."
"I love you too Chase." She grinned at me cheekily.
"Now let me go or I'll be late." She gave me one last smooch before I stood from my crouch and closed her door.

All day I was on pins and needles waiting for the phone to ring with some disaster or other, I know Janice had given the Fieldings their walking papers I didn't know how she did it, wasn't interested in the details, all I wanted was for them to be thrown out with no chance of a refund. Petty I know but so much fun
They'd starved my wife of affection her whole life, giving her hand me downs which in itself is not a bad thing, but they spoiled Celine, giving her the best of everything while Delia looked on, I'll never be able to get that picture out of my head, the things I imagined she felt when she was made to watch on Christmas and birthdays when Celine got anything she wanted while she got next to nothing.
Just thinking about it spurred me into action, before I knew it I was heading out the office on my lunch break.
My first stop was the Jeweler's I got her a new charm bracelet with a teddy bear and a peanut for the baby.
Next up was a furrier’s where I found her the plushest white blonde fur they had, she'd be set for the winter months.
I found her a couple designer bags and a few evening clutches, not that I knew what the hell I was doing but the sales lady was a big help, she chose this brown and tan canvas bag with an LV logo all over it that she swore was all the rage for young women in Delia's age group, plus one that she said although more matronly was a very high luxury statement.
I took two of those, one in black and one in their signature orange. I had no idea these things actually cost so much, women are crazy.
I headed back to the office loaded down with my loot, there had been no phone calls and it was coming onto time for Delia to be returning home, as soon as that happened I would be able to breathe easy.
I went through the rest of my day giving my patients the care they deserved, I could do no less, but keeping my ear out for anything.
I made it through the day with no surprises and headed home at a decent hour to find my beautiful wife making dinner.
She is the messiest cook in creation, I lived by the clean as you go method, Delia liked to get flour and whatever else she was working with all over the
