time his penetration was strong and smooth, and they both groaned as he sank all the way to the hilt. He hooked an elbow under her knee and gripped the headboard as he began to thrust—heavy firm strokes that went beyond anything Lauren had ever experienced.
She thrashed and squirmed under him, fingers digging into the silky flesh of his back as each thrust sent a bolt of electricity sizzling through her. The bed frame groaned and so did he as she ground against him with every stroke, seeking the firm pressure of his pubic bone against her clit.
His brow furrowed in fierce determination, his eyes gleaming as he struggled to hold back his release. His arms shook with the effort, fingers trembling as they traced the curve of her cheek.
“Lauren,” he whispered, voice breaking as he plunged deep. “I can’t wait.” His lips pressed into a thin line as he fought for control. “ Shit.”
His cock jerked and throbbed and he held himself deep inside her, gripping her hips so tight she knew she’d have bruises. His unmistakable loss of control hurled her over the edge, and with a sharp, high cry, she came, clenching and milking him as she sought to drain him of every last drop of come.
He collapsed on top of her, resting a minute before capturing her mouth in a long, lazy kiss. “Damn it,” he murmured, licking his lips as though savoring her taste, “I didn’t get to watch you.” He waggled his brows suggestively. “Next time.”

    N ext time.
He’d just come so hard he’d nearly blacked out, and already he was thinking about the next time.
He gently eased himself from her body, his cock making a halfhearted attempt at revival as her slick tissues tugged at him. Flopping over on his back, he pulled her close until her head rested on his chest, trying to quell the anxiety swirling through his brain.
Jesus, he couldn’t remember the last time he’d so completely lost control. But everything about her drove him insane, from the way she looked naked, to the way she tasted, to the sexy sounds she made as she came. His heart still pounded and his hand shook as he played with the soft ringlets piled on top of her head.
This intense reaction meant nothing, he told himself firmly. This bone-deep satisfaction, and his eagerness to experience it all over again, was to be expected, after his longer than usual dry spell.
Right. And that was why he simultaneously wanted to flee and curl himself around her and never let her go. This had been a mistake. But as he looked down and met her uncertain gaze, he knew he’d slit his own wrists before letting on that he regretted sleeping with her.
She smiled awkwardly as she twined her fingers in the mat of hair dusting his chest. “Did we really just do that?”
Determined to keep the mood light, he replied, “We sure as shit did.” She nuzzled her lips against his neck as he gently removed the clip holding her hair up and his fingers burrowed in to massage her scalp. After a moment, he tilted her chin up, forcing her to meet his gaze. “And it was about a million times better than I ever imagined.”
She flushed, looking embarrassed and pleased. “So I was okay?” She winced and blushed redder. “You don’t have to answer that.”
    “You were amazing.”
She turned her face into his chest. “Oh, like you’d really tell me the truth if I sucked.”
“No, you didn’t suck, not that time, anyway,” he laughed, relaxing as they settled into their usual banter. This was good. They weren’t getting too deep or too analytical about what was happening here. “But I’m hoping you’ll get around to that.” That earned him a glare. “That part when I was trying to drill you into the mattress, you felt that, right?” he teased.
    She nodded begrudgingly.
“I think it’s safe to assume I’m not lying,” he teased.
She curled back into his chest and threw a leg over his. Never a big fan of postsex cuddling, he found himself savoring the feel of her silky
