do I do that?”

“You're going to need access to his office. He's no doubt hiding records of his various meetings. There's bound to be some info in their that will put him away and destroy Spencer Enterprises. Get the documents and bring them to Pike. He can get them to the FBI anonymously.”

Pike nodded. “That seems to be the only choice you have left.”

“Worry about the killing later,” Stone added.

The MC was right. Killing them for revenge would have to wait. My only option was to take down Mr. Spencer in a way that I wasn't accustomed to—using my brains.

“How can Kellan get access to Mr. Spencer's office? That place is a security compound.” Pike asked.

The light bulb in my head went off. “Lilly can help me get in. She can distract her father long enough for me to get the documents.”

“How many of us can she sneak in?” Stone asked.

“It's only going to work if it's just Lilly and I.”

Diesel raised the gavel. “Looks like our work here is done. Meeting adjourned.” He slammed the gavel down.

The only problem was how to get Lilly to betray her father? She might hate him right now but not enough to destroy him.

Chapter Eight

Lilly

The talk with my father had completely wrecked me. I sat in my car, too weak from crying to drive.

Everything I knew about him was a lie. I'd heard rumors around town about my father being a ruthless businessman. But that was business. This was my life he was toying with. The thought of never seeing him again pulled at my heart. He was always there for me when I needed him most. But I could see now that he only had his own interests in mind.

After every tear was wrung out of my body, I finally started the car and drove back to Kellan's house. I couldn't let my dad control my life anymore.

But that meant no more money. No more fancy apartment. How could I afford to live on the money I made from painting? Kellan didn't even have a job. The money he got from the MC was meager at best.

There were a lot of things that needed to be sorted out.

I knocked on Kellan's door, not sure if it was appropriate to just walk in. We were together again but were things back to normal yet? Everything was pretty far from normal right now.

Kellan opened the door and peeked out, holding a handgun. Probably a good idea that I didn't just walk in. “What's with the firearm?” I asked, pushing by him.

“Never know when your enemies are coming,” Kellan replied, putting the gun behind his back and in his waistband. Kellan looked at my face and instantly knew something was wrong. “What happened? Your eyes are all red.”

We sat down on Kellan's dusty couch. My throat choked as I began, “I went to my father's office to confront him. He admitted the truth. My father was behind it all. He's the reason you went to jail.”

Kellan's fists clenched as he sat next to me. The rage in his eyes was fiery hot. “That fucking bastard.”

I nodded, trying to hold back the tears. “He said he didn't want you near me anymore. When we went against his advice and continued dating, he took drastic measures. I'm so sorry, Kellan.” I fell into his arms and hugged him as hard as I could.

“It's not your fault, Lilly. You didn't know.”

“But I trusted him for so long. He was the reason I didn't visit you in jail. He convinced me that you were guilty and I should move on. If I had only listened to my heart, I might've seen the real picture.”

“Let's not get caught up in the past. I'm here now, Lilly. We can move on together.”

He couldn't have said it any better. I reached up and kissed him hard. I wanted to take away all his pain and suffering. I wanted to go back and change everything. Make sure that Kellan never went to jail. But there was nothing to do about it. Kellan was right to move on.

Our lips touched and everything disappeared into a fog. The beating in my chest was
