everywhere , Sir.”
“I like that place called everywhere . I’d like to go there.”
“I’d like you to go there,” I flirted back.
We sat staring into each other’s eyes, our smiles lingering for more than a few seconds.
Whew . Kenny, who ? If I had a fan, I would have been a fanning fool.
“Would you like a drink?” I asked him as I waved the server over. “I’m suddenly hot,” I teased, fanning air into my face.
“I know what you mean. It is pretty hot, isn’t it? I’ll take something light. In fact, why don’t you order for me” he suggested.
“You trust me to do that?”
    “Sure, why not?”
    “Okay,” I agreed. “No problem.”
“May I order two Caipirinhas, please?” I asked the server.
    Victor nodded in approval.
“I like Caipirinhas…good choice,” he complimented.
When our drinks arrived, my buzz was already on standby so it took mere minutes to kick in. I felt it travel through my body, taking me to a level of comfort I knew would work to my advantage.
Not that I needed much, Victor was really nice looking, and that made things oh so easy.
He had an immaculate haircut that I wanted to ruffle my fingers through. Those green eyes! He had a complexion of mocha brown. I wanted to devour him! A sculpted goatee. Toned. Nice conversation. Attentive.
I wasn’t the least bit surprised when I found myself wanting to explore what he was packing inside of his slacks.
I had prepared myself for the worst. I knew that not all men could look as good as the pack present at the previous night’s reception, so I didn’t have high expectations. But fortunately, Victor far exceeded any expectations I did have.

    ~*~*~

By the time we arrived at our suite, we were in deep discussion about the details of Victor’s life.
He had a twin brother, who was a restaurateur in Rio de Janeiro, while he owned a software company, in Osasco. He earned an MBA at NYU and remained in New York for two years after graduation. He was a newlywed of one year. The most surprising of all was that his marriage was arranged and open.
His wife knew of his “vacations” and had no problem with them. She didn’t know where he went on those vacations or that they were even local, but she was aware.
I also found out that he was on his fourth visit to Paraiso Belo – once before his marriage, two since the marriage, and then me.
It sure brought home the statement Valentina made about these men not being the ones she’d fill her life with. It wasn’t for me to judge, but the writing was on the wall.
In the beginning when it was my turn to share, I kept things more private than he, opting only to divulge the minimum…that I was from California and considered Brazil a second home.
I let him know I would only be in town for another four days at which point I would be returning home to begin my first year of college.
We had been standing on the balcony talking since we arrived back at our room and I could feel the spark between us. I knew he could, too.
We had grown silent toward the latter part of our conversation, as though we were trying to figure out our next move.
“Do you think your school schedule will provide the flexibility that would allow frequent returns?”
“I’m not sure how demanding my schedule will be just yet. I can tell you that I haven’t missed a year since I was 9 years old. I have very close ties here, so nothing will get in the way of my visits – even if I have to work like a slave to complete papers before boarding my plane.”
“That’s good to know,” he responded.
He questioned whether I had an active relationship back home and if so, did he know and approve of what I engaged in on my trips to Brazil. I laughed when he asked, and told him that even though his wife was aware of his dirty deeds and accepted them, I highly doubted there were many men willing to send their women off on trysts…for pay.
Then to address his question, I responded, “I’m single,
