didn’t shy away from her own desire, she felt my own loudly.
Like a radar, she answered my own questions .    ...explains the eyes.
Taking yet another risk was worth it if I gained her trust so I leaned in further on my knees and enjoyed the way her breathing became a staggering wisp.  She floor-boarded me with her next words.
Staggering, speechless, completely taken aback is more like it.  I can’t seem to think logically when you get that close to me.   I can smell you, sense you, HEAR you.
As soon as her confession ended she felt around her neck for the ring and realized what I knew now.  As desperate as I was to hear more, she hugged it close to her skin again cutting me off.
“You’re wish now!” I informed her.  The smoke circled around us and left rings above us.  Her eyes followed it at first and then reprogrammed on mine.
“And yours?” she narrowed her eyes and I couldn't read her for a second.  Her mind was closed and I was forced to read her face only.  Torture bit like a nail to concrete.
I let her know the truth she maybe wanted, “It already came true.”
She sighed and held her breath.  I listened to her reason a few things out.  I also figured out how to make her lean just a little to the left to make the ring lose its connection to her skin.  Heck yeah!
The only thing that concerned me was that she felt unwanted and doubted her own beauty inside and out.  How did she not know I was totally into her?
I cut the cake after a few watchful exchanges of just rubbernecking looks.  After that, she wouldn't look at me but swallowed a dozen times.
    “Ladies first.”
She hesitated at sharing a plate, but examined my bite and then followed suit.  I wanted to laugh when she interpreted me taking the first bite due to poison tasting and not a gentlemen-like manner.
We took turns waiting for the other.  Three bites later, she was done.  “Thank you.  That was…I can’t believe you made that.”
I ventured to remove the permanent smile from my face, but she was forever making it reappear.  I led her to the den in hopes of information for a chance to spar her again and be able to touch her more.
“A few questions answered perhaps and then maybe a little swordplay?”
I wonder if he would take his shirt off .  Her eyes sparked and I lost my footing but hid it extraordinarily well.
Leaning!  Wow!  She was asking for me to shed my clothes .
She flopped back in her seat on the sofa where she curled into a ball again.  By the gods !
You know, a girl should have some secrets.  I ’m going to die of embarrassment.  While I am at it, let us feed the fire with some facts.  “Sacrificial virgin princess?” her voice cracked.  “You were going to trade me for my brother.”
I was dumbfounded.  Did she really say that?
“Answer!”  She was angry too fast.
“No!  I had no part in that.  Your brother was a part of it from the beginning.  He knew the sacrifice was evident.  He did it to save you.  He was only a distraction to keep you safe.”  For me!
“Szar!  He hates me.  He only cares about the crown.  He wouldn't do anything to save me.”
Was she serious?  “He does not hate you, I think if you will let me theorize, you will find a jealousy of the fact that you were marked and he was left blank in his eyes.  He will become the Valkyrie king one day.”
What about me? S he thought then asked , “ And where does that leave me?  And how would you know?”
“Are you ready to know that yet?”
    Her lips peeled to nonexistent.
“Tell me what you do know?”  I could fill in the blanks without scaring her.  “If you don’t trust my intentions, you could simply remove the ring and nothing could I hide.”
She answered with my own sarcastic moves, “You know, I could have used one of these when I was growing up.   I would have found all the things my brother snatched from me and had revenge.”
    “Yet it only is
